HI everyone! Im done with my interview but was put on 221(g) to submit additional documents first divorce decree original copy and last 3 months business bank statements of petitioner. We are ready to send all the additional documents to US embassy. I am just wondering if there is a chance that we'lyl be denied ( God forbid!)? Duirng my interview the CO said we will print your visa after you submitted the additional docs. Anybody here same situation with me or have been through with this situation? Any ideas guys? You reply would be great help to keep us calm. Thanks in adnvace

They're asking for the documents because they need them to approve you. If they had what they needed to deny you then it would have happened already.

Once you prove the Divorce and financials that meet the requirements you'll be approved.

If they return your Passport at the end of your interview that is a bad sign.

Thanks femloveron. We are just so worried and it cost us sleepless nights thinking about my visa. How long after you sent them the additional you received your visa?

Maybe they changed that also, I know there have been a lot of changes in Manila since they opened the new building. Key is that they're asking for you to return it with the documents.

Thanks Bob 4 Anna. That's the thing thats keeping me and my fiance sane for now knowing they asked me to send back the passport. I hope this will not take so long because it hurts us so much so far away from each other but have to settle with that because we still dont have other options.

Your wait is almost over, seems like they generally get Visas issued within a couple of weeks of receiving the requested documents. The actual timing will depend on how busy they are.
