Alien Number

Hi,

I am almost done completing the entire package for the K-1 visa, I am a little worried about a couple of things:

1) On both the I-129F and the G-325A (at the bottom) it asks for Alien number, now I came to the US from Iran when I was around 4 years old, I know I had an alien registration card, but god knows where that is now.

Do I still put my alien number even though I am a US citizen and have been for quite a while now? (was naturalized through my parents when they applied for citizenship)

2) On the I-129F it asks for explanation of how you met in person question # 18, I typed a full supplement page and labeled it just as I was instructed to do so on this forum. My question is what should I put in the box for question #18? "Refer to Supplement Sheet: Part B Question 18 Explanation of meeting in person the last two years"? Is that fine?

Thanks

If you are a U.S. citizen, you don't have an alien number anymore.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

USCIS still uses the A# to make it easier to identify you, if you know it. Like when you file the I-129F they certainly identify you with your long gone A#.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

So what should I put?

NONE or Unknown?

I don't want to get an RFE for NONE and I don't want to get one for Unknown (ie. that is not a valid answer)

And I know since I am from Iran, they would do such a thing because they look for any little thing to send a RFE for people from Middle eastern countries.

You can put UNKNOWN, they will find it if you had one. If you are really worried about it you can explain the situation on a continuation sheet headed with your name and noting the question number.

White woman delirious or fire water clouding mind.

US citizens do not have alien number no more. Like hunting bears in great Tundra A number becomes USCIS registration number at naturalization . . . like magic. Once white woman has gone through mysterious transformation of body and mind she will just know by paying attention or by having other hunter allowing to look at important paper on right top corner.

Question for alien number is on forms for aliens who wanting to help other aliens coming to land of the red man and hunting buffalo. All aliens must tell alien number to big Manitou or must hunt alone.

I don't have a naturalization certificate (that I know of), my parents were naturalized when I was 10 years old so I automatically became a US citizen. I am pretty sure I would remember if I ever got the certificate after on my own because I still remember my parents procedure quite well when they did it.

UNKNOWN is a very valid response.... Do you happen to know your "A" number? if not, the it is UNKNOWN

YMMV

If u were born here in US, no need A# because you are automatic a USC, but if you came here as an immigrant and was naturalized, am sure you have A# and naturalization cert, and in application form that you're going to send, you have to answer how you acquire your citizenship, if by naturalization, you have to give certificate number and date and place of issuance. my step daughter was naturalized at age 7, although under age no need to appear at oath taking, she has her naturalization cert and have her A# right below the naturalization #. If you have a lot of documents to prove that you are a USC, im sure you are safe, dont bother about A# because its just a number..they are correct, so, be happy, smile and send it now...:)

If you are a US citizen, you do not have an Alien Number. There is also no Alien Number on the Certificate of Naturalization. I know that for a fact, because I have one.

Therefore the answer is either NONE or N/A, whatever you like better.

I wouldn't know how to explain this any better.

You're wrong I'm sorry Bob. Check your Naturalization certificate: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/112504-a-number-for-naturalized-us-citizen/page__view__findpost__p__1614185 it's referred to as the "USCIS Registration number". I looked at the USCIS site at the "new" certificate and it's clearly listed next to the "Registration number" and starts with an A.. like normal. Even if you aren't actually listing the A number, you ARE listing your certificate number which links to your A number.
