I and a VJ friend is a bit confused about the validity of the medical exam at St. Lukes Medical Extension Clinic and we don't want to be misinformed nor misled about it. My query is how long is the validity of the medical at the said clinic before the set scheduled interview? Is it just valid for 14 days and how true that medical should be set couple of days before your menstrual cycle for the girls? Could you please inform us? Thank you so much..

The medical is good for 6 months. As is the visa. And they both expire on the same day; i.e. your visa expiration is based on medical exam.

Hi "DavenRoxy", thanks for sharing. Just a few questions, I'm still going to have medical few days before our set interview date this coming October, then, if ever we get visa approved, God's Will... we plan to leave to US probably early next year Jan, Feb or March as I'm not ready yet due to my work, do you think our medical results are still valid when we file for AOS later ? I have 2 kids with me under K2. It would be wise if we plan well with our steps so we won't be incurring additional expenses. Your advice would be greatly appreciated as well as other experienced members. Thank you in advance !

Your medical results are good for 6 months from the date of your exam, and your visa will expire that same date 6 months from exam. Once you get to the US, this exam is good for one year; if you try to file your I-485 after one year from exam, you must have another exam.

If your exam is in October, then you must enter the US by April; just make sure you pay attention to the date on the visa when you get it from USEM.
