I was wondering if any have gone through this before. Here is my situation, I have a small family just my mom and sister who lives in another state. My friends live in another state. It's logistically impossible to have all of people together for a wedding ceremony. My question is can I have a simple ceremony at say Vegas wedding or a simple justice of the peace giving us a marriage license. Will any of these work to satisfy the k-1 visa process. I am afraid not having a large family will hurt my fiancee and I k-1visa.

Absolutely- any legal wedding will do. Many K1ers have a quick wedding with a Justice of the Peace and 2 witnesses, as you are only given 90 days to marry. Some later have a big wedding ceremony, when they can afford it/ their families can join them.

For the sake of time, we were married at City Hall -- and in Colorado you actually can officiate your own wedding (no Justice of the Peace, even) and use the clerk as the witness.

If that "wedding" was sufficient, any will be!

Of course. I promised my fiancees family, who is very traditional, that I would bring her back home for a traditional ceremony . We are going to have a quick civil ceramic then when AOS fly home for a wedding with her family and friends.
