Saying hello and bye

Hello everyone,

I am just curious...

1. When you make a call to your significant other, how do you usually greet him/her?

2. What are your usual parting words, etc., when you end your call?

Mine:

1. hey honey, good morning/evening (have to check the time zone first), how are you?

2. bye honey, i love you, double *kiss sound*, have a nice day/evening

And yours?

(She often call when I start telling her how work sucks and when she isn't going to hear from me or reply to her text for like 20 mins. Life is so much better after our sweet goodbyes. Hearing her voice is music to my ears...aaaahhhh I can't wait to be with her...12 days to go yay)

We always refused to say "goodbye." To this day, if we speak on the phone, we always say, "I love you, until next time...later!"

Usually when I call, I just say "Olga" since, just in case it isn't her!

She replies "Hello, my love" I reply "hello, MY love"

The ending gets a bit drawn out.

She says "I love you very very very very much, I miss you very very very very much, I kiss you!" (the superfulous "very"s are surpising considering Russians tend to be word conservative.)

I say "ya loobloo tebya ochen ochen ochen ochen, ya toskuyu bez tebya ochen ochen ochen ochen, ya tsyeluyu tebya ochen ochen ochen ochen"

I say: Marahaba habibi!

He says: Marahaba bata! (why he calls me a duck, I might never know. sometimes he calls me a 'cute duck )

At bye, I say: Have a good day honey, see you tonight inshallah.

He says: Is coffee ready?

When he answers the phone he either says "Hey" or "Hola nena"; when I answer the phone I say "Hello" or sometimes "Bueno!" to trip him up (hahaha), occasionally "Hola bebe."

When we hang up it's usually a very quick "Love ya bye" from both of us or sometimes just "Ok, bye" but at night it's always:

him: Hi bholi (another Hindi word, meaning "innocent" or something, just a cute nickname he gave me awhile ago)

When Sujeet was still in India, the 'love you' went back and forth more and we said 'bye' a bunch of times until someone hung up the phone. You know, when you don't want to be the one to hang up.
