Traveling with AP

Hi there, a few days ago I received my EAD/AP card, and now I'm going back to Mexico to visit my family in about three weeks. I'm confused about the process to use the AP when I come back. My main concerns are:

What happens to my I-94, every time I came back to Mexico with my B-1 (Before K-1) I needed to surrender my I-94 to the airline. Should I do it this time again? My main worry is that I sent a copy of it with my AOS package and that means that they can ask for the original one on the interview day. If I don't have to surrender it, what do I say to the airline in order to explain the situation?

When traveling back, do I show the EAD/AP card as I did before with my B-1 and K-1?

Finally, should I fill another I-94 when I come back from Mexico? and if so what do I put on all the visa spaces? *like who issued it and when was it issued?*,

Thanks for your help! (:

I had this same question about the I-94, so I called CBP. I talked to a nice woman who double checked everything in her rule books. She advised me to take the I-94 out of the passport, and keep it for the interview. I took the I-94 out of my husband's passport, and gave him a letter stating why he no longer had one, in case the airline gave him a hard time, but they didn't care that it was missing, or even mention it.

Coming back, he filled out a new I-94 (you don't fill in what admission class, you just fill in your name and leave it up to the CBP to do the rest) and it was stamped with a special "Paroled into the U.S." stamp. We gave our IO both I-94s at our interview.

Thank you so much for your reply! It is really good to know what to do.
