I was on the USCIS website to check my status.

Since they only require the receipt number, i did some investigative work today in the past few minutes.

Checked 10 Receipt Numbers before and after mine.

The NOA1 receipt number which was 3 values ahead of me got approved today.

I don't know if they are registered here on VJ or not, but certainly hope that I am processed early next week.

Even thought I did not get approved today, at least this proves that WE ARE NOT FAR AWAY...

Those with the same NOA1 date as me, hang in there, I hope we are close to being processed.

Well I did the same and checked the USCIS website for 10 receipt numbers before and after my number. None of the receipt numbers after me were approved. Only only receipt number right before my receipt number received RFE this week. So hopefully that's a good news and my file was also on that pile and waiting on someone's desk for approval.

i really don't get this...

wouldn't it make sense that the file would show a touched indication on the USCIS website if it actually made it onto an adjudicator's desk.

I don't know the entire process but, wouldn't someone have to move these files from a room and onto someone's desk in order for them to be processed and each time the move would cause a "touch."

If thats so, my file is sitting on the desk of the same adjudicator since April?

I know I am wrong. So can someone care to take aim as to how these files would be touched?

Well the USCIS does not always update the website. So some people are getting approval without even seeing a "touch " on USCIS website.

When I initially posted, from the three people before me, one was approved on...Now, one more has been approved... I have a feeling the applications are on the same adjudicator's desk...

S

One more before me, atleast numerically, since i have no idea if there is any method to this madness.

I have a feeling the applications are on the same adjudicator's desk...

PLEASE LET IT BE THIS WEEK... PLEASE APPROVE MINE THIS WEEK
