Brasil - Tax Retrns - Transcripts!

So,

I was looking for a way to get a copy of the W2, and was told the IRS free transcripts of the Tax Returns work as the "whole package".

Many VJers say in different topics that the transcripts work as the "1040+w2+1099", since all the information in there is provided by the IRS.

My question now is if anyone has experienced this in Brazil and if the Consulate here accept the free transcripts.

thanks!

Dude, stop panicking. If Liszy was told by the consulate they'll work, you'll be fine.

You were sorely missed yesterday! The day was a boring one though!

Yes Rlt, someone else said somewhere he had forgotten his tax returns in the hotel room so he ran out of the consulate and went into a cyber cafe and printed out from the IRS website and it worked just fine.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

Interesting story. Tax transcripts are not available from the IRS website. He must havbe had them saved somewhere else.

But to answer the first question, yes, the transcript is all you need at the Rio consulate.

I called the IRS, waited for a real person. Gave her a ton of info about me to prove that I was me and she faxed it to me the same day at my work. Although I know I could have used this, according to my (irritating) lawyer, but instead got copies from my tax lady instead since I was just to worried about it -even though that would have been fine.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

Which number did you dial for a real person?
