FINALLY preparing to send I129

First of all I will myself right now so no one else has to

I'm putting everything together after making copies of nearly everything I could think of yesterday, and I discovered I made copies of things that weren't required according to the sample cover letters table of contents.

- Payment in the amount of $340 USD

- I-129F

- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person [ONLY IF USED ADDITIONAL SHEET]

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)

- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)

- Birth certificate/US Passport (Petitioner)

- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years

- Proof of ongoing relationship [if including]

I have all of this, but I had also made copies of Ben's (the beneficiary's) birth certificate, passport pages, and J1 visa. I also made a copy of my Social Security card just in case I needed it and its been printed out on the same page as my passport and passport stamps.

So my question is, is it ok to send them even if they aren't required? I -know- they aren't required, I just want to make sure it won't hurt to send it. I don't like just doing the minimum, and I haven't overstacked this thing.

For proof of having met in person in the last two years I have my itinerary, boarding passes, hotel reservation and visa from my trip to Australia in 2010, as well as his itinerary, J1 visa, certificate of eligibility for J1 visa, and a copy of our lease for the apt we share.

For proof of ongoing relationship we have our joint bank account, our joint car insurance, a few cards and letters, and 20 pictures, 4 per page. I'm getting a head start on filing the K1 while he is still living here with me (his visa expires at the end of Sept) so we really don't have the traditional phone bills and emails that couples who are living apart would have, so I tried to include some birthday cards and more pictures

So, thoughts? Suggestions? More bonks?

Oh that feeling right before you send. How you keep feeling like, "Damn, what if I forget something? Do they need this? Why not throw this in... don't want an RFE..."

I don't have the answers to your questions but from someone who just sent their paperwork in, I feel your pain and wish you luck I'm sure a lot of people here will help!

It's always better to send more than less and I think all of us send in more than what is required. It won't hurt. For the record, I did forget something. A week after I received the NOA1, I was researching what to do next and I realized that I did not include my divorce record with the petition package. I called the USCIS office on the NOA1 and asked what I can do. I didn't want to sit and wait for an RFE. They told me to send it to them along with a letter expaining what happened and a copy of the NOA1. I did that and I never got an RFE. Our petition was approved! Sounds like you have everything though.

One more question, I didn't use a copier for some things, I scanned them into the computer and printed them out, is this fine? I know the sample cover letter says photocopies, mine are color scans that have been printed. It's probably a stupid question I know but I'm not sure how picky the government is with regards to format of the proof :x

I did the same thing with the scanner. I now have a big file that I'm putting together in preparation for the interview and every document in there has been scanned and is in a folder I made on my computer. I think it's better than a black and white copy. I had a few passport stamps that showed up much better with the color scan print. That is fine.

This is a ways off yet, but since Ben has a SSN right now with his J1 visa so he can work, would he be able to keep that same number when we file for his SSN and AOS?

Ok, I'll put that one aside for now, since it IS so far off atm

I do have a question about the G-325A for me the petitioner. My parents are divorced and in late 2008 I broke up with my ex boyfriend and moved out, and to make a long story short, I moved a lot in a short amount of time in 2008-2009, living in a rented room, and then my moms, and then my dads etc. So when it says put where I lived for the past 5 years I don't have enough room on the form for all the addresses...

Also, will this count against me? 2010-2011 have been stable, we moved recently into a bigger place but we had lived a year in our old apt and everything is paid in full. Please help!
