So your case is not officially closed! Bummer!

I guess being super pro-active is not good at times.

I hope you get case complete now before the end of this month...

I'm still in awe...

wow, 77 days through USCIS that was fast and 29 days through NVC not bad at all. you are on "full" speed.

My Visa is approved. B-):)

Just came back to hotel from embassy.I will give detail review once I reach home

Bombay schedule for September is posted on their website.

MY wife's interview is on the 23rd of september. I was wondering If I the petitoner(US Citizen) would be allowed to be inside the consulate building during my wife's interview.(Mumbai Consulate)

According to posts on visajourney i am getting mixed answers

13. I was present in India for the interview, but I wasn't allowed in. If it came up during the interview; "When was the last time you saw your husband?" or "When was the last time your husband visited you", she could reply he is here right now waiting for me outside the embassy. The other question I had her preped for, was "When would you go the US if we gave you a visa?"; my wife replied I would go to the US at the end of the week with my Husband.

It'd be best to check directly with the Consulate itself. I know, when it was my interview, I had called to ask whether the USC petitioner would be allowed inside the Mumbai Consulate, I was told no.

03/27/2009: Engaged in Ithaca, New York.
08/17/2009: Wedding in Calcutta, India.
09/29/2009: I-130 NOA1
01/25/2010: I-130 NOA2
03/23/2010: Case completed.
05/12/2010: CR-1 interview at Mumbai, India.
05/20/2010: US Entry, Chicago.
03/01/2012: ROC NOA1.
03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

09/25/2013: N-400 NOA1

10/16/2013: Biometrics completed

12/03/2013: Interview

12/20/2013: Oath ceremony

Hi guys I am back with a second CC on 8/31 with an opportunity for a October interview date. :dance: :dance: :dance:

Talked to an operator and got confirmation (no SIF - I have access) and was told that NVC will finalize the October interview in the first week of September and will inform in the second week.

I thanks the Lord for His favor and all of you for your support and encouragement all though these 10 days of misery.

A few days back, whenever the case was completed, we used get a failure when we try to login to the payment web site, which we used call SIF (Sign In Failure).

It looks like NVC has made some changes and we are able to sign into the payment web site after our cases are completed and interviews scheduled. This is a new and latest development, which was encountered by some of us. I am just confirming that I didn't have a SIF (the first time I has my case completed, the SIF indicated it first and the next day the operator confirmed it - because NVC updates their system at night with all the changes)

07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.

That is what they have been saying until they started giving out October interview dates around 22nd. Then they stopped giving any more dates from 25th, so my guess is that this time it is for real and we may get to know by 9/8. I am praying that the consulates will have more slots open for guys like us.
