No you won't have to fill a DS230 during interview just the signature on part II of the form during interview. My wife filled out the DS230 at VFS but the DS230(part II) she signed was the one i submitted to NVC. so i am confuse about why they make us fill the DS230 at the VFS office.

@Dev Thanks......

Hi guys,

you all might have gone through this.

we are planning to send i 864 packet on monday.

1. Do we need to write NVC case number on the top of I 864 form and all tax transcrit copies.

2. Also along with I 864 form, we are submitting (a)Tax transcript for 2010(latest), (b)employment letter, ©Bank statement. Hope this three are enough. pls give ur thoughts.

3. We are sending only copies of above mentioned documents. is that enough?

Answers:

1. No, although if you want to, you can write the case number on a post-it note and put the post-it note on the paperwork.

2. Should be ok.

3. If the instructions don't call for originals, then it should be fine. However, do bring the originals to the interview.

My take is this, if the I-864 do not specifically call for original bank statements, transcripts, etc., then copies of those items ought to be sufficient. IMO, the employment letter should be the original.

As for what I did in my case, electronic processing is available for China so I scanned and emailed the necessary documents to the NVC. Electronic processing is not available for India so what I did will not be an option for you.

My husband filed an I-864 EZ and electronically sent it with the IT return of 2010. Thats it. That is all he sent. When I went to VFS Mumbai to submit my documents the lady there told me that I need to get copies of his W2, bank statements, pay stubs or job letter and proof of his citizenship. So now my husband has sent me copies of all the above mentioned documents which I will carry for my interview tomorrow.
