Hi guys,

my wifes' interview is coming soon on 11/23/2011 at Mumbai and i am wondering if i have covered all the documents for the interview,

1)Passport (original and copy) 2) Passport 2X2 Photographs( she made 40 copies..lol) 3) Interview letter 4)Copy of birth certificate 5) copy of marriage certificate 6)Police certificate from passport office (copy) 7) local police clearance (Original) 8) Medical reports 9)AOS complete package (Me and Joint sponsor) 10)phone records, mail receipts, marriage album. 11) wifes' school leaving certificate, College degree 12) My passport photocopy with stamps indicating visit for the marriage.

She is not taking the DS-230 copy with her because i don't have a copy and she had to fill out Ds230 again at the VFS office on 11/14/2011. Also, i did not make the copies of the original AOS packet but i filled the I864 forms again, signed it and scanned her with all the required documents that were included with the original packet(including the coversheet and payment receipts), the only difference is the date as I re-signed the forms, so my question is will this(different dates on sponsor form) be an issue during her interview?

i already sent NVC Original AOS packet with additional photocopy set of AOS packet.

If you can think of any additional document to take during the interview please let me know... thanks in advance for your feedback

NavyK the joint sponsor thing is freaking me out. We have no one absolutely no one who can be my joint sponsor. We are above the 125% guideline. My husband has been above the guideline for the past 4 years now. I really really hope we do not need a joint sponsor. My husband thinks I am crazy when I tell him about needing a joint sponsor.I hope he is right.

I am pretty sure you would be fine. As long as he is not on the borderline of the poverty guidelines you should be good.

It is good to have a joint sponsor lined up if possible.

I think you will be fine.

I agree with Dev. Your husband is not a student and hence you should be fine. More over they didn't insist that my wife produce a joint sponsor in our case, they said that our case would be strong if we can provide one. So just be cool and go to your interview in full confidence (maintain eye contact and answer only to the point) and you will be fine. Also all the best with your Interview, POE & your job interview (I guess it is in Florida).

Thank you for sharing your wife's interview experience. Did she carry your passport size photos for the interview?

No she did not carry my passport size photos. Take a copy of DS230 that you submitted to NVC when you go to VFS and they may not require you to fill out another DS230.
