My wife is planning on going to VFS Ahmadabad late next week before Diwali to turn in her Passport Clearance Certificate and pay the VFS fees.

This is the last step before the interview!

All the best Dev. Is she planning on turning in the medical too at VFS or take it to the interview?

She will most likely submit it to VFS. Anktic submitted to VFS and had no issues.

It's one less thing to worry about on the day of the interview.

Good news... We got the visa... I am so happy...

Interview was fairly simple..They just asked simple questions like :

Is ur marriage arrange one?

Who hook u guys up?

what ur husband doing there?

Who else in the family there?

Was ur father-in-law and mother-in-law there in the marriage?

and that's it !

Good news:

Visa approved today. I accompanied my wife to the interview and was allowed inside.

I was asked to complete another I-864 as I had completed ez version but was missing W2. I quickly filed it and returned it to the window.

The questions asked were:

1. Who is your sponsor?

2. Who did you meet?

3. What does he (points at me) do?

Then he said visa approved and told us that we will get passport in mail.

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

VFS is done! My wife called me around 5 AM my time and she told me some things but I was too tired from studying the previous night before that I can not recall the details right now. I do know she is done with VFS though.

I'll try to get the details from her here soon.

Now the only thing left is the interview!

I wish you all the best for your wife's interview in November. I will update you about my wife's interview experience Monday. So that it might be helpful for others in this board as well.

USCIS:

3/14/11 - I -130 sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

3/18/11 - NOA1

6/16/11 - NOA2

NVC:

7/19/11 - NVC Case Number

8/31/11 - Case Completed

9/13/11 - Interview Date received

9/23/11- Medical Test Scheduled

10/24/11- Interview @ Chennai Consulate at 1 PM Chennai Consulate
