What possible good could come from a President Michele Bachmann? You're against the regimers, aren't you? That's exactly what she is - a regimer. She's relied on Uncle Sam's teat her entire life. Whether drawing funds from federal programs, whether drawing paychecks from the IRS where she worked to litigate delinquent taxpayers, whether drawing federal funds - all the way to the grave - from Uncle Sam for her Congressional position. People are trying. Politicians like Herman Cain, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich paint Muslims as terrorists and unworthy of full benefits as American citizens, standing with hateful and ignorant bloggers and shysters like Pamela Geller and Robert Spenser. Several state legislators have tried to stop mosques from being built in their states.

They try to pass laws forbidding the use of Sharia law and international law in court proceedings, stoking fear that Muslims are attempting to take over American institutions and impose Islamic law on the country. Look back at all the fervor over the "Ground Zero mosque" that wasn't at GZ.

Muslim Americans were being told they aren't part of the healing process and that their places of worship were breeding grounds of hate that don't deserve to be near the sacred spot where people of many races, religions and nationalities perished, but only hateful, ignorant American Christians and Jews can determine who participates in closure for the nation.

The 10th anniversary of 9/11 is just around the corner. Expect more of the same.

While I'm not opposed to having religious views that are stricter than our laws and they be self-imposed voluntarily on a community by it's religious leaders, that's a separate issue than what takes place in court.

That's not even close to being the same thing. When the US government recognizes something it doesn't supercede US law. The US merely concedes that the foreign contract will be binding in our own system as well.

What you're suggesting is a law "take the place of" US law. That's not acceptable.
