My net is way to slow for that, and I lost all my good stuff when my hard drive took a dump last year.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Peter North to Alaska?
Now THIS is the funniest combination pun/opportune-humor response that I've probably ever seen on VJ, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Crossing a border to provide a better life for your family is a heinous act in your view? Wow, we are way different. In my view, freeloading health care, food stamps, unemployment etc is much worse than one crossing the border to provide for one's family. Though, neither of them are heinous acts. One of them provides many benefits to the economy, work hards, and are a lot more appreciated then you seem to give them credit for. While the other one simply sucks on the American tax payer's #######. I'm completely against violence of any kind, but you seem to have this ideal that we should punish a hardworker by shooting them, and let the freeloaders carry on? Why? Why punish the hardworking and give a free ride to the worthless? It makes no sense. We need to replace the folks that are too lazy to get off their butt with the hardworking. Open the gates... let the hardworking come, work hard, spend their money and create a middle class. One thing is certain, those collecting social benefits will NEVER adapt to get out of poverty. They've freeloaded for too long. They think social benefits are mandatory. They're the same folks complaining about illegals that work hard. Are you one of them?

more like Latino supremacy is what you were preaching...

As far as people deserving to die? Deserve is a harsh word. I prefer 'should' instead. Thinning of the herd of those who commit heinous acts is not something i frown upon. Some do. Some don't. Whatever.

The good illegals are those that are just trying to make an honest living to support their families.

The problem is, they have to be dishonest to make a living, so they are not making an honest living. They are bad illegals simply BECAUSE they're ILLEGAL.

Why is that so hard for illegal lovers to understand? You can't make them legal, even if the government allows it. They are still people of poor character who disregarded the laws of their host country, put their families in jeopardy, and lied at every turn to be here, to work and to take jobs from others who are here legally.

Since they will lie, deceive and cheat to be here, they will lie, cheat and deceive in other areas, because, in their minds and yours, they are justified in doing so. The ends justify the means - where have we heard that before? These are not the kind of people any sane country would want to build a new generation upon.

Are you crazy? How many latinos do you know... and I mean, really know? Latinos have the best family values of any race in America. I'd trust the average hard working latino any day of the week over an average black or white. Lie, deceive, cheat? Are you kidding? Not the kind of people that any sane country would want to build a new generation upon??? Yet, 95% of nannies are latinas? Are the rich just idiots. Pull your head out, latinos are the ONLY race almost anyone would trust to have as a nanny to be with their child 24 hours a day, to care to their home, etc... yet you think they lie, steal, and cheat... lol.

Get your head out of some illegal's a$$. You're so convinced that lying, stealing, deceiving and cheating are family values that you can't even be honest about the issue. I know lots of Latinos. I used to live in South America. They are like anyone else, some good, some bad. The bad ones are among the illegals in the US.

If you love illegals so much, advise them to go home and clean up their own despotic countries so they can get some decent wages and living conditions at home for everyone.

Wow... no sense in arguing any further. The good news in my opinion is we've finally taken a step in the right direction by announcing increased deportations of the bad apples and work autorizations for the good illegals. It's only a matter of time for an amnesty. It's the first positive thing I've seen on Obama's watch... other than the speech he gave in Egypt at the beginning of his presidency. Unfortunately, no way would I vote for him again based on 2 positives and a zillion lies.

I like how you worded that first sentence.

Here try something like this...it's closer to the truth.

"Crossing a border into another country illegally and knowingly breaking said country's laws to provide a better life for your family...and then crying about it when you get busted for said crime..."
