I am almost ready to begin my journey as my Divorce is almost completed. But I just found out that my Fiance was tricked into getting a fake VISA in the Philippines. She never used it for anything so I told her to tear it up and get a new real one. I will be back out there in November and will be meeting her in the city, so we can pick up the VISA then. My question is, can we start the K-1 Process before she has that passport in hand?

Thanks

Stephen

She doesn't need a passport till her interview.

Tell us more about this fake visa though, that could be a big issue! Is it for the USA? How is it fake? Ie did she go to the US embassy and give fake info or did someone just add a piece of paper to her passport?

Also, what kind of visa do you want to pick up in November? It will be very difficult for her to get a tourist visa, and you will only just have started your K1 journey.

Wow, I really screwed up my original post. She had gotten a fake passport, not VISA. She hasn't used the fake Passport anywhere so I told her to tear it up and trash it.

Sorry about the confusion. And thanks for the answer. So I will have her apply for the real passport and then We will pick it up in the city when I visit her in November..

Thanks
