Hi,

1) there is an expiration date on NOA2. What does it mean? Do we have to get an interview date before the expiration date? If it's expired, will the officier reject the visa?

2) DS-156K also requires

birth certificate, police certificate, evidence of engagement and evidence of financial support

so do we have to attach them to the package 3 and mail them back?

do we send copies or the originals?

thanks,

lele

Yes the expiration is just that, the consulate can extend the expiration date.

Here is what they say on the Guangzhou Consulate site which tends to be quite slow:

What if my petition expires?

Consular officers have the authority to extend the validity of petitions that have expired. Because many petitions often expire before an applicant can be interviewed, officers at the Consulate routinely extend the validity of K-1 petitions.

You should be able to send copies, and provide the origionals ate the interview if they ask for them.
