Not with a RUB woman! (just ask the ABC American/British/Canadian women and they will tell you how subservient RUB women are) The more upset they get, the quieter WE get! That is why you have to have a woodshop, or go shooting or some other hobby.

Truer words have never been spoken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somezing like that. Alla does not use bad language but only says "sheet", which actually sounds more like "shirt" because she asked me if it was a "bad word" and I told her "Not the way you say it"

She also says "c*ck" because it "does not sound like a bad word" "kak" (pronounced the same) is the Russian word for "how". Kak could that be bad?

Just a note here. VS doesn't actually have the bigger sizes. Depending on your girls bust size VS might not be the place to go. Last time I was there their limit was DD... that was last year. So before you sign up for their ####### try and find out if there's any point first.

SERIOUSLY. Their sizes are all over the place, too, their band-width sizing being the worst.

IMHO, I think VS is able to pull off the stupid/wrong bra sizes due to the company being so easily accessible since it's in every American mall and mailbox, is relatively affordable, and give 110% to their silly marketing campaigns (and much less than that percentage to their quality, lol). In many cases, if a women goes to a lingerie boutique (like Intimacy or someplace) where getting measured and correctly fitted is treated as part of the whole bra-buying-experience by staff who actually know what they're doing since they earn commission this way, she'll discover that the cup and the band sizes will usually be completely different than what they'd normally be told they wear at VS.

Basically, VS and department store lingerie brands at the mall seem to have devised their own measuring system to suit their sales, rather than women's boobs.

Sorry for the scathingly long, VS-bashing reply ...haha! I have *brassiere angst I guess! :innocent:

/end rant

As of:

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!

At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

On Sunday during laundry, I was asked "Did you change the shihts on the bed?" I replied "Did you have an accident again?" and had to dodge a Wedgie of Retribution, si man.
She also says "c*ck" because it "does not sound like a bad word" "kak" (pronounced the same) is the Russian word for "how". Kak could that be bad?
I love those paper placemats in Chinese restaurants with the calendar on them. It is particularly meaningful when it is the Year of the #######.

I was again recently told "I bought you cheap." I'm eating some of the cheaps now (barbecue, store-brand), si man.

Brassiere angst? What are the symptoms? More important...what is the cure?

Sigh...we are coming back to the USA tomorrow. There is a bra specialty shop right here in our apartment house, the first floor on the east side is commercial shops (we are right near downtown) so all Alla has to do is go out our "porch" and around the corner. It reminds me of a custom gun shop (lacey, but otherwise the same  ) where they take great care to make sure everything fits. She has a few new bras to take home with us. Ukraine seems to have much better in the way of personal service of any type, and they have had this since I am been coming here. I think it relates to the pay scales being so much lower. D'ya think? We have new heel tips on all her heels, our kitchen knives are scarey sharp and the knife sharpener guy was impressed with Alla's cutlery "Obviously you did not buy this in Ukraine..." He told her, by way of flirting with a hot woman, which all men here do, to the point of grabbing their @ss if necessary and Americans do not (much to the dismay of the hot Ukrainian women in the US) that he could "tell everything about how good a housekeeper a woman was by looking at her knives" :wow: He determined that Alla must be a very good housekeeper.

She visited VS a few times, was turned off by the prices and general lack of service for a shop that looks like it should give service and now buys her unmentionables about anywhere except VS and still buys her bras in Ukraine.

It's as much for the guys as it is for the girls.

Your description is hilarious and dead-on! laughing.gif And, yes, that's exactly the type of store I was talking about. I bet the items she buys from the shop you mentioned don't end up stabbing her in the armpit with under-wire and she actually gets what she paid for (if not better) - two major things that can't be said for Victoria's Secret.

I like your wife's thinking!

Her bras are hilarious, well her treatment of them anyway. I made dividers for her bra drawer ("boxes" she calls them) So they are all organized by color and style or whatever (who really knows?) and all nested together neatly in rows. They look like an elite troop of Red Army Soldiers in there who are going to jump out and march in formation or something!

I laugh anytime I open that drawer!

Of course they are all washed by hand in the tub and hung around on the curtain rods in our bedroom to dry (we have no clothesline over the tub like in Ukraine) Same with her panties. I took a few of her panties a few weeks ago, hung them on the ceiling fan in the bedroom and turned it on low! Works great. I have no idea why they call it a "ceiling fan" when it is clearly an "orbital panty dryer"
