Thanks! I submitted the DS-3032 (for the third time!) and just submitted the AOS package as well. Let's wait and see when I can see the IV invoice next.

Got my IV fee shows up as unpaid two days ago. And only today the check box is no longer grayed out allowing me to pay. So I promptly paid it.

Next I will be submitting the DS-230 package by email once I assemble everything. Now my case is really moving alone fast. Hope my wife gets to the consular interview soon!

Yay ! Some movement !!

You'll be fine - these lags at NVC have nothing to do with __YOU__, specifically -

is some other ####### that crops up every year, creates a lag.

Tis a nasty lag, to be certain, but..

you've got movement, and that's a plus !

Damn it! I called NVC today. They say they have everything but the two copies of the ID photo.

I did send the ID photo in PDF format, as part of my IV document submission. Actually I sent it twice. But I only just did send one file at a time. I thought it was silly to send two identical files just because they want TWO ID photos.

Oh well, I just have to re-send the photos by renaming them to two different PDF files.

Finally. I get NVC case complete today!

I was having a feeling when I attempt to log into my email this afternoon. Sure enough here is the NVC email:

============================================================================================================

Dear Sir/Madam:

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

woo hoo !! Congratulations !!!

getting closer.

I'll posit will have 'interview date set' within 11 days of the 'case complete' timetick. It's just a feeling. If it's more than 11 days - something is really broken at NVC.

Alright! Just received the Consulaar visa interview appointment letter. Document intake on Nov. 1 and interview on Nov. 2, 2011. Wish my wife good luck!

Can any one decipher the meaning of each letter after the document names, as on the appointment letter:

===============================================================================================

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not the

NVC received them. Please note that even though the applicant may have provided

the NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the

original document to the visa interview.

Document Name Document Status

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 S

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 S

2 - PASSPORT Y

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE S

4 - ADOPTION F

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE S

6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F

7 - COURT RECORDS F

F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE S

8 - CUSTODY PAPERS F

9 - MILITARY RECORDS F

10 - CHINA - MAINLAND POLICE CERTIFICATE Y

FEE PAYMENT $

PHOTOGRAPH Y

F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F

F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F

GUZ P3 SUPPLEMENT Y

==================================================================================

I am particularly concerned with the last two items. Petitioner Marriage Certificate and Petitioner Birth Certificate. Does my wife need to bring the originals of these two? Why? I do not have a US birth certificate.

Yes I am done with NVC already. I am also done with calling DOS on the phone (never had to), as I already get the Consular appointment letter by email. Just physical check up and then visa interview and we are through the whole process! Looking forward to bring my wife in for Thanksgiving Holiday!
