Medical at Chennai or Hyderabad

Hi guys that had been to Chennai Consulate. I am wondering if we should go to Chennai or Hyderabad for Medical and seeking some feedback in making the right decision. We can either go a week before interview or a day before interview to Chennai depening on the feedback. Dr. Songa in Hyderabad states that 15 days before interview needs to be schedule and we have to after 7 days to collect the reports. And we are in between HYD and Chennai but closure to HYD - of course go to HYD frequently.

The Apollo heart center in Chennai says that we need 4 - 7 days to schedule a medical. Is it alright to schedule a medical just 6 days before interview and go to Chennai a week before interview and get the medical done in time - what is the real fact about getting the medical done in 4 - 7 days at Apollo.

The web site mentions the following medicals and I want to know, which actually needs to be done. It's total cost is 19,395.00 but I remeber to have seen a thread sometime far back and think that the fee mentioned was around 6,000.00 - may be I am wrong. any help is appreciated.

• Physical Exam - 2,750.00
• AFB Smear & Culture - 4,215.00
• AFB Derug Susceptability - 11,950.00
• Supp. Serological.. - 480.00

As far as Chennai Medical. The Appollo hospital charges is total of Rs 5000 only not more than that. And you can make appointment before 7 days and its just a two days process. The first day for medical you can go around 11AM they will take all xray, blood test and then a medical doctor will check you and then will tell you put some injections which takes time approx of 3 to 4 hours there. And they will say you can leave for the day and next day you need to go again in the evening @ 4PM and they will give you a sealed report and you need to take that for your interview. Thats it for medical.

1. Did you go to VFS to pay any courier fee!
2. Is is possible to leave the medical packet with VFS!
3. Can we go next date after interview to VFS to collect the passport with visa and closed cover!
4. How many days of advance notice is required for Apollo to schedule interview - can we call or email any doctor.....

It looks like Dr Songa and Vijay diagnostic may be conducting more tests and charging more (I don't have any one that gone to Hyderabad respond with details). In Chennai Mohammedshoeb paid just 5000 for medical (immunization is not included).

Also I am trying to find out whether it is worth making a trip to Hyderabad and wait 10 - 15 days to get medical results (in Hyd 2 weeks prior notice and 1 week to deliver reports) and again to Chennai for interview and wait for 3 - 4 days or just make one trip to Chennai for 7 - 10 days and get everything done there (in Chennai 4-7 days prior notice and 2nd day delivery of medical reports).

I love to hear from someone who got medical done at Hyd to figure out the costs there.

Not to "#######" the thread. How early can we schedule the medical? Can we do it as soon as we get the official interview letter almost a month or so before the actual interview?

Copy of the interview letter is required, so it can be done only after we get interview email.
