I found phone cards that allow us to talk approx 20 minutes for $5. I call once or twice a week. He calls once or twice a week, but pays much more so the calls are often shorter.

We usually talk late afternoon my time-late evening his time.

I can alwys wake him up, but I know its hard for him to go back to sleep so I try to avoid it. I won't hesitate to wake him up with the NOA2 approval

We e-mail all day during work days and then we usually talk for the hour before my (very early) bedtime, but we're flexible. Since I have such a rigid schedule, he knows it well, so if he wakes me up, it's gotta be important.

At any rate, I'm in love, so I don't care much if he wakes me up!

Yes, we talk often. Calling from the Philippines using the PLDT budget card is a lot of savings at 3 pesos/minute call ($0.0597312 at present exchange rate of $1 - 50.2250 PHP.) So, I always make sure I don't ran out of supply. There are 100PHP and 200PHP card denominations. We have agreed to utilize this calling scheme. However, John calls me if he needs to and especially if I am away on work-related local travels where access to PLDT phones is impossible (He calls my cell then). And there is the yahoo voice messenger which is very convenient whenever both of us are at our respective homes.

We never get upset if either one of us gets awaken up due to calls we make to each other. It is always happy time to hear each other's voice.

1. Do you talk often?

2. Do you get upset if they wake you up?

1. Everyday. We've adjusted to the time difference. She calls me at my office (about 5pm here) when she arrives in her clinic (8am) - but we keep it short. There's a pocket of time right before her lunchtime that is when we can really talk (9pm - 11pm here). If she's too busy to call between that time, I'll have her call me in the middle of the night, but just to say goodnight - it's nice to hear her voice even if it's just for a minute or two and to have the chance for us to say 'I love you.'

2. When she was getting a lot of patients (she's a dentist with her own clinic) about a month ago, it was a bit stressful because it was hard to find time to talk without it being 3am in the morning for me but we've worked it out so that if after about 12:30am she hasn't been able to call me, then we're not going to talk long for that day.

If either one of you is getting upset because you're being woken up, then I'd recommend you both agree to what blocks of time are calling times and when not to call unless it's really important.

99% of our talk time is pre-arranged, whether it be Skype or phone, because both of our schedules are nuts. We text message frequently in between to make up for it.

We wake each other up only when it's important. He knows I average 4-5 hours of sleep per night, so waking me is not something he wants to do.

We talk mainly on Yahoo or MSN, due to the time difference, he is waking up when i am going to sleep and vice versa, but we will call each other every now and then just to hear each others voices and tell each other we love each other no matter what time it is , time is of no matter to us, as long as we get to hear each others voices.

We talk every day. No problem at all about time differences. I can call her anytime and it's not a problem to her. She can call me anytime just not when im sleeping since I am working 12 hour shift. But when there is an emergency, she can wake me anytime. I believe that the most important thing of a relationship is communication. Those calls, texts, emails, and IM are one of the reasons why our relationship kept getting stronger. I can't emagine how strong is my love for my fiancee. Thanks for the phone and internet.. wooooo

We talk a lot but since the time difference is not so big (only 2 hours), I can always find a better time to talk rather than when I know he's asleep.

I gave Marlene a wake-up call every morning about 4 or 5 p.m. my time. We would talk again after she got to work just before I went to sleep. Then I would call her when I woke up and I would call her on my cell phone from work again just before she went to sleep. We usually sent text messages throughout the day too. Phone calls were one of our biggest expenses.

We are only 1 hour difference, so the time doesn't factor in as a problem issue.

We used to talk a lot more, but since I started my current job and don't get a lunch hour, I no longer talk to him during the day. Interestingly, we don't really miss that lunch time conversation-usually both of us are really busy and don't really have time to do much talking anyway. I will call him during the day if I have a question or something to tell him, and he does the same.

I always call him on my way home from work-depends on the day whether or not he'll answer that call; that's his time for milking the cows. If he answers, we'll talk about 5-10 minutes

I usually call him once or twice in the evening hours, and we talk for 5-10 minutes.

We always talk right before bed, for between 15 and 20 minutes.

As for who calls whom, it's about 60/40. I definitely call him more, but then again he doesn't answer the phone sometimes so I have to call him back. He never has his ringer on so waking him in the night doesn't really work, although I have tried a few times when I couldn't sleep...he never calls and wakes me in the night. I probably wouldn't be too happy if he did.

Speak of the devil, he just called!

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!
