dear all

I read time savers (i-130 for spouse)

"Have the beneficiary (now the applicant) fill out the DS-230 and send it to the USC if they are to be the agent....this can be done at any time before the DS-230 is generated at NVC. Once it is generated it will be sent to the agent, the signed copy with the cover sheet (that the agent will receive) which has the barcode can then be mailed to NVC"

my Q. is what is cover sheet??

2nd when should i send ds230 means after which form??

thanks

After you call NVC and get case number and Invoice ID Number (and tell them email addresses for both of you):

Pay the AOS bill through the NVC online payment portal.

Wait a few days for it to show up as PAID in the NVC system.

When you login and see "PAID, then scroll down and you will be able to push the "print receipt" button.

Then push the "print coversheet" button.

Put that barcoded AOS coversheet on the top of your packet.

Repeat process for the IV packet.

see my post signature for the link to NVC site describing what documents you need to include with ds-230

You should send it through the e-mail, it's way faster. You don't need any barcodes in the e-mail, just a NVC case number and USCIS case number. Here's the sample form.

waiting for help

Read the LingChe_NVC_Shortcuts, I-864, I-864 cover letter, DS-3032 email, DS-230 & DS-230 cover letter from this link.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/National_Visa_Center

The average time period for all US consulates from case finish at NVC to Interview date is 50 days. NVC case complete will happen after you submit both I-864 and DS-230 and those are processed and found to be alright.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

Whoa, whoa, you're mistaking the forms. The DS3032 Choice of Agent is what is sent from the beneficiary's email address and unlocks the DS230 Visa Application payment online. That's also where you find the cover sheet after the payment is accepted.

See the Guides link at the top of the page? Go there, find LingChe's shortcuts. Read them, know them.
