TBone, somehow I think Russian women are not quite as liberal in the farting department as Ecuadorian women.

Russians in general (male and female) tend to be shy about bodily functions according to Victor. There are exceptions of course. Neither one of us is shy about it though! He was quite relieved in the beginning to learn that I'm not grossed out by farting so we can be free together about it! I think it helps that we both find things like this completely amusing!

Yeah, as Amy already wrote, in Russia most people extremely shy about bodily functions (especially with opposite gender). Most of Russian wifes would expect you to go to the bathroom (or at least another room not to be heard) to fart, even if you're comfortably laying down in bed, and most of them would do the same - no farting in front of each other. In Russia many people will be mad if you'll fart being near them, because they think it's very rude. So uncomfortable... I'm very glad and relieved that we're with Amy can be free with each other and she doesn't sending me to the bathroom every time when I eating too much of beans or cabbage.
