It happens quite a bit, actually. A young girl who gets "assaulted" by someone, especially at an early age, will often have a relationship with that guy later on.

You use the word "assaulted" as if it's a euphemism for consensual sex. You really dropped the ball on this one, Slim! The victim is traumatized and many abuse victims don't seek the help that they need so that the predators/abusers can continue to abuse/RAPE them. The victim loses the ability to discern what is right and what is wrong. A young girl doesn't know any better, she just thinks that's the way that it's supposed to be. In many cases the predator seeks out marginalized children and makes them feel special in an effort to gain their trust.

Actually, I was informed, very politely I might add, that there are certain words on here that people may be offended by and that was one of them and it will not be allowed here on VJ. No hard way about it. VJ has a pretty simple TOS and since it's open to interpretation and discretion of folks, there will be certain words that won't be allowed.

I can choose to play by the rules or I can choose to break them and get banned. Pretty simple really. Nothing hard about that at all. But you go right ahead and act like something happened to me and I got scolded. If that makes you feel better.

No, I use the word "assaulted" since the title of this thread is rape and the article said sexual assault. I realize we're splitting hairs here, legally speaking, but the point of this article was for all of us to say, "oh, that poor little girl." and "What a messed up school system."

I don't see anyone wondering why a middle school boy would TWICE rape a special classmate of his. I'm guessing it's not because of the rap music and grand theft auto. If I was a wagering man I'd bet this little boy is just as f'd up as the little girl but yet he gets no sympathy from any of you gun jumpers. "But the girl was the one that was raped." Yes. She was. BY A 12 YEAR OLD!
