Hi, fellow VJers! So, we were notified that packet 3 is already on it's way to my husband (in PI). Now, I'm wondering, when should I start getting all I-864 supporting documents (i.e. tax info for the past 3 years)? I'm gonna have my aunt co-sponsor me, so I need to tell her ahead of time of when I need to have those IRS docs on hand. I don't wanna cram in the end....

Thanks in advance :)

Thank you. The thing is I haven't worked since April 2008 until July 2011.. So basically, out of all the 3 most recent tax returns required, I could only provide the one for the time I worked in January 2008 to March 2008... So for the years 2009 and 2010, I would have none... Reason why I have my aunt to co-sponsor me... But I know that they'd still need a letter explaining, in my case, why I don't have those 3 recent returns. Can anyone please give me an example of how to write a letter stating the fact that I only 1 out of 3 of these required docs?

Thanks... :)

And also, when is the I-864 presented and how much is the fee, if any?

Hi fellow DJers! I need help with filling out the I-864 for my husband. I only worked here in America for the first quarter of 2008, left for the Philippines in March 29 of the same year, and stayed (in the Philippines) until April 2011. And I didn't work at all for the years 2009 and 2010, so I wasn't required to file. Do I still need to provide a copy of my filed taxes for the year 2008? I mean, I only made about $7,000 that year because as mentioned, I only worked for the first 3 months.

And if so, or if NOT, which box in Item #25 of the form I-864 should I tick? Please, I need info on this ASAP as my husband is scheduled for his Visa Interview next friday...

Thanks in advance!
