Question on payment to the VFS

DOes my Fiance give the exact cash in ruppies? Does he have to make a bank draft to paid them too like he has to paid the usa embassy? If he has to paid them through a bank draft who does he make the draft out too? He is going to New Delhi India to pay them right a way 14 days before our interview... any help would be most appreciated! Thank you in advance

Hi Christina,

Although I had paid by cash for my business visa a couple of eyars back, I suggest you pay as recommended by VFS on their site.

Quote:

This fee is payable in cash or by DD/HDFC Bank cheque favouring “US Embassy - Visa Fees”. DDs issued by cooperative banks are not accepted.

2. VFS’ Service Charge: Rs 281/- (inclusive of Service Tax @ 12% and Education Cess Tax @ 0.24%)

This fee is payable in cash or by DD/HDFC Bank cheque favouring “HDFC Bank a/c VFS”. DDs issued by cooperative banks are not accepted.
