Waiting....(on USPS and HCM Consulate Inquiry)

In the two years I have known her my wife has gotten every piece of mail that I have sent her, and now, for the record, the HCM Consulate has gotten what I sent them as well.

Apparently everyone in VN has a very different experiences, so, as I stated, making negative or hopeless comments to someone new here, or making them feel stupid, is not at all beneficial, since

apparently everyone has such vastly different experiences. If there is a "next time" with the Consulate, I will send it by FedEx; I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that they have what they

want now. It is hard to imagine that they would have doubt regarding the validity of our marriage, but given all the horror stories and mishaps I read about here I guess that any and everything is

possible. I only can hope that is not so in our case, and that our "good luck" streak will continue now that the Consulate has everything that they requested, and won't take too long. Best wishes!

If you only wanted specific answers than why even ask? We gave you the answers we gave because we have the experience from having been here and done that. Now you got lucky sending important mail this time and hopefully in the future. You being rude to the best we have here is not a smart thing if you want future help. Makes it hard to want to help anyone when they get in a snit over the answers. Good luck

I asked for specific answers because I needed specific answers. I did not come here to shoot the breeze, and I don't imagine anyone comes here for this reason initially, at least no posts that I read.

My wife does not live in HCM, and I wanted to know about mail delivery times in HCM, versus the countryside, which I know if much much slower, sometimes weeks slower for mail delivery.

And, since I never mailed anything to the Consulate, or emailed the Consulate, I wanted to know the turn-around response times. A couple people gave me polite and helpful answers, and I thanked them.

Those that did not, like the first person that posted under my thread, stating: "Why in the world would you use the regular mail for communicating with the consulate?" was not helpful, and did nothing

to answer any of my questions, and given that I had already spent an appreciable amount of time, energy, and money getting the documents there already I did not want to rush out and duplicate my

efforts again needlessly. It was really nothing more than a comment chastising me for being "stupid."

I assure you I am not a stupid person, and since your post was not helpful to me, nor in any way designed to be helpful, I will just logoff until I get my answer from the Consulate. I simply implored

those that post here to try to remember to be helpful and kind, because if you chase someone away from this forum and from seeking help you have done more harm than good. Enuf said, again. Have a nice

remainder of the weekend.

Then in the future say what specific answers are acceptable to you and maybe you will receive only the answers you seek. Just because you did a dumb thing and used USPS is not our problem but yours anyway.

one post removed for tos violations, along with one quoting.

I will be asking the Moderator to do it for you the very next comment.

you might consider familiarizing yourself with the vj tos before you cry foul

It appears that your idea of a "foul" is to protect those that are inconsiderate, demoralizing, demeaning, and hypocritical. The fact that you deleted my comment in response to this purposefully antagonistic and sarcastic person who called my actions "dumb" and has repeatedly criticized me speaks loudly about you and the forum you supposedly apparently moderate. I have better things to do with my time than deal with the dull hypocrisy and dull pettiness here. Enjoy it all to yourself and yourselves.

one bait post removed, and it seems to be time to close this thread as it's run it's course.
