Can someone give us a run down on the actually process of each or point me in the right direction via a link? ie - how early should we arrive for doc turn in? Interview? Do we go to a certain area? 4th floor? 5th floor? Where can I go? I wait? How long should I expect to wait?

Thanks,

M and L

You don't say where your interview is at.

At the top of each page, on the menu bar, click on "Reviews: Embassy/USCIS & POE". Look up where you're interviewing and read the reviews. They usually give you information like how early to get there, where you go, and so forth. My interview with my wife is this Friday in Dallas, Texas, and the reviews helped us to be ready for it.

Care,

Bill

Here's a synopsis of the process.

document turn in starts at 12:30. Depends on your interview time though. You will actually line up in the courtyard outside the building. You can start queing up at anytime, but it really makes little difference unless she likes standing in the heat. We arrived right at 12:30 and were heading in within about 15 minutes.

You will go up the escalator to the left to the fourth floor which is the security entrance. There she will get a green card and an interview number. After clearing security she goes to the fifth floor and waits for her number to go be sworn in and give over the documents and her fingerprints.

Interview day starts at 7:30 and is pretty much the same process. Line up outside the building and they will call in the people who have a green stamp on their letter first and then back to the fourth floor. The interview number is the same as before so it really makes even less of a difference if you show up early this day as you won't get called early for arriving early. After the interview (assuming a pink slip) she will go to the EMS counter and fill out the EMS slip for the passport/visa pickup or delivery.

If she is staying to pick up her passport, it will be the Junyuan Post Office. map The road that the post office is on is really more of an alley so it is easy to miss, but it is almost directly across from the stadium so when she gets to that area she can start asking people.

About EMS counter after Interview, Does Document Intake now hand you an EMS label that you need fill out yourself and to bring back to interview and give to the VO? or do you take that label to the EMS desk?

Here is a link from the Consulate website discussing that topic! http://guangzhou.use...structions.html
