Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

Me too, My case was completed on 10AUG2011 and they told me there were no more september appts available and that maybe there were some in october, ugh!! Im so frustrated already.. i want a date soon!!!!!!!!!!

We are almost there but it looks like we are sailing in the same boat - no September interview dates. We will have to hope for early October interview dates.

Looks like they are giving same reply to everyone. I am pretty sure their scheduling time is not limited to a particular week of a month. They are trying to avoid unnecessary calls. I understand their point so I would rather check AVR.

I ran the report under the immigration timelines and found 3 that have October Interview dates assigned.

Yes, even I checked it. But, I tend to refine the search for Indian consulates. That way we have more idea on our cases. The last interview date assigned is for 29th Sept. We have a good probability to fall on Oct schedule.

Mumbai already displayed the September list, so it is October only. Chennai hasn't yet but we were told that September was full - the 8/10 approved got Sept 29 interview date. So October its is for most of us.

Since September was full so quickly, I am thinking October also will be full very quickly with so many case completions in this month (I mean for India).

Thats what's scaring the hell out of me. I am anticipating a case complete this week. I really hope I can get into an October slot for Mumbai. I really really really really hope for an October date. This is really making me nervous after I saw how early September interview dates were posted for Mumbai.

The first operator I spoke on 8/15 said that September may be possible and we will get to know by the end of this week. But the next operator I spoke the next day on 8/16 said that September was full and October may be possible but not guaranteed. So I asked her what she meant by October may be possible but not guaranteed, when on 8/15 the operator said that September may be possible.

She responded saying that my case may have a good chances of getting October but with so many approvals waiting we have to say that October mat be possible but not guaranteed. I thought that she was saying it like the 6 - 8 weeks song they used to sing for other stuff at NVC. The next time I called (8/20), the opertor repeated the same song but at least said that I just missed September. My guess is that if your case is completed before this month-end, you have pretty good chances of making it to October.

On the optimistic side, cheer up and we will all get October interview dates.

I called a couple of time in vain. It looks like NVC may not have us interview dates till first week of September. I am planning to call once a week and check AVR daily.

I made my first call to DOS today.. I was not expecting any good news and I was not disapointed. A bit weird that they have no background music.. you just hear a phone ringing for 10 minutes and someone finally picks-up the phone.

They asked for my NVC case number (and nothing else) then put on hold while they checked for the current status.. Less than five minutes later the DOS operator returned. The answer "You case is completed and is sitting at the NVC waiting for open dates. There are currently no open dates for this consulate. As soon as dates open up you will be scheduled and your case sent to the embassy."

So in short: They are not scheduling for October yet for Colombia. I think I will try again next Monday or Tuesday.

I'm optimistic I think we'll get it but a case complete this week will really help solidify that.

All of us was told by an operator that they will set a schedule in mid September, so is mean that our interview schedule may be in the middle or end of October, is have to be a month ahead, right?. If they give schedule end of this month or first week of September then it will early October. correct me if I'm wrong.

I think this is where they are wrong.

There will be interview dates that would have to scheduled for October 1st and NVC always gives 30 days advance notice for the medical ... to be done. So there is no way they will finlaize all interview dates for October in the middle of September. They just don't want us to bug them till the interview emails are sent out.

I just missed September and am expecting my interview date to be scheduled for an early October by this month-end and hence will bug them starting from 8/29 (will call them on 8/26 also).
