Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

I do not think they mail an official letter (Official Letterhead) to the beneficiary. They send everything via e-mail if you have an e-mail address listed with NVC.

You are right. This is the response I got from someone who got interview letter.

"Our interview e-mail was a four page document. The last page tells you if you need to bring anything to the interview. Print it out as you'll need to show it at the embassy and CONGRATULATIONS. "

Hey Guys, just wanted to share since someone methond to check your e-mail and I did do that this morning and Received Two E-mails from NVC, one for my grandmother and one for my wife and both case Complete and Interview Date Set for End of September. I guess I got luck and got squeezed in. Thank You All and Lord and wish everyone to get there interview soon!

For my Wife, there is no paperwork needed, all is good, but for my grandmother some documents are needed, but was told by NVC to have them present at the time of interview.

Side question, Both me and my wife received e-mails about the interview date, once the case is at Embassy, will they mail my wife and grandmother the Packet 4 and what needs to be done as of medial wise? Please share your thoughts on this.

Congrats - your 8/10 for Delhi might have made it to September. Please aks your wife/ grand-mother to forward their emails to you. You can then read the full instructions - NVC is supposed to provide those details. You can also check the US consulate Delhi for the medical details and the panel of doctors. I don't think that they will get any emails from the Cosulate, as you already submitted packet 4 during NVC process. Of course the additionla documents requested may have to be submitted at VFS, including the Courier fee.

It you are right, with a case completion on 8/15, we can expect an interview around October 5th. And hopefully an email by the end of this month - 1 months advance.

Good - I am more concerned about early October date - Wife was disappointed - asked her to go to her grandma's place instead of waiting in Hyd for medical. May be we should reconsider and wait for a week in Hyd.

Ran the report and saw 2 Nigerian and one Indonasian October Interview dates.

Don't worry bhai... Be positive... tell her to have a good time there because you dont know when she gonna go back to visit her family again... thats what I have been telling my wife...

It happens to us at each stage... more waiting for getting NVC#, more wait for interview...

I guess interview scheduling depends on the no of people who are in line for that particular embassy...

in most of the countries, where they have less rush, they got schedule very quickly... not a case in Indian embassies...

Hi everybody!

I need some advice. I am a US citizen applying for my Mother. My case is still in NVC. I hoped it would be closed soon, instead I got response today from the operator that my IV package was reviewed and they thought that death certificate of my father wasn't original. I asked to connect me to supervisor and explained that all documents that I put in that package was originals, including death certificate of my father, plus I put copies for each with translation. He told me that it would take 10-15 business days to close review my package again.

Does anybody have similar experience here? Shall I ask my Mother to order dublicate in case they lost the first one?

June 16th - 2011 I-130 approved

July 15th 2011 case arrived in NVC

July 25th 2011 case number assigned, AOS paid on-line, choice of agent mailed

July 27th 2011 AOS showed as paid, AOS package mailed by overnight mail, choice of agent approved

July 28th 2011 AOS package delivered to NVC

July 29th 2011 IV fees paid on-line

August 1 2011 IV package mailed by overnight mail

August 2 2011 IV package delivered to NVC

August 8 2011 AOS package accepted

It may be safer to get a duplicate, as you never know what NVC will come up with. That way, you can safe valuable time.

Under VJ, go to top menu and click on tab "Immigration Timelines" and then click on "IR1/CR1 Visa Timelines [Full]", which is under "Visa Timelines & Stats:". Then sort the report on column "Interview". You can use different sort criteria to get different reports and also use "Country" option to get reports pertaing to a particular country......
