Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

I just called NVC and was told that there is no interview date assigned to us as of yet. Today will be the last day that they could schedule for the Month of OCtober so if we dont get assigned a date today we will have to wait until October for a November date

This is upsetting.I am hoping that when i call them tonight they might have some good news for us

Anyone got their interview dates today? Our case was completed on September 9th

Let us hope that you get your interview date today as the latest. In case if you do not hear from them, you will definetly fit into 1st week of November schedule.

Here is my timeline for CR-1:

02/20/2011 - Married

03/14/2011 - I-130 sent

03/15/2011 - I-130 received

03/18/2011 - NOA1

06/16/2011 - NOA2

07/17/2011 - NVC received

08/06/2011 - Received DS-3032 and I-864 bill

08/06/2011 - Emailed DS-3032 and paid I-864 bill

08/10/2011 - I-864 sent to NVC

08/15/2011 - DS-3032 accepted and IV bill received

08/15/2011 - Paid IV bill

08/18/2011 - DS-230 sent to NVC

08/19/2011 - DS-230 received at NVC

09/13/2011- Interview Date Received

10/24/2011- Interview Date at Chennai @ 1PM

Called for interview today and nothing =( Operator told me to wait until the end of next week. I REALLY hope this doesn't mean November date. It seems like nobody else has gotten dates for October from Bogota yet, so I still hold on to the last string of hope (and patience). This is really frustrating.

Do not loose hope and stay positive. Try calling them again in the evening. I really pray for you so that you can fit into October schedule. I was in the same situation as you before and with the VJ members help, I remained positive till I got the interview date. I am sure you will definetly hear from them today or Monday as the latest but as I said try calling them one more time in the evening!

I didn't see any DHL post to Bogota sent by NVC on 9/14 (NVC shipped almost all the cases that have interviews scheduled on 9/15), so I guess NVC is still looking to schedule an interview for Bogota. So I guess October may still be open.

Did you check the past history of Bogota - is there any backlog........?

Bombay is busier than the other consulates/embassies in India. Be patient...I hope you get an October date but I would not doubt if you get a Nov. date.

I decided to call DOS this morning (well noon eastern time). I think calling DOS is pretty much the same as calling NVC for the IR-1/CR-1 so I won't be calling them again.. Same news. The last few months for Bogota interviews is pretty sparse for reporting IR-1/CR-1 so take this with a grain of salt.. Here are the NVC case complete to interview dates for the Jul/Aug/Sep (and one october so far):

5/10 ==> 7/21 (2 months)

6/15 ==> 8/22 (2 months)

5/18 ==> 8/23 (3 months)

6/07 ==> 8/23 (2 months)

5/31 ==> 8/29 (3 months)

7/12 ==> 9/01 (2 months)

6/24 ==> 9/16 (3 months)

7/08 ==> 9/14 (2 months)

7/21 ==> 10/14 (3 months)

Day of the month waiting two months: 7, 8, 10, 12, 15

Day of the month waiting three months: 18, 21, 24, 31

So sometimes two months, sometimes three.. The earliest in the month that went 3 months was the 18th and the latest that went to two months was the 15th... My case closed on the 16th and I think yours was closed 19th so we are both right on the bubble.

One thing on that 18th closing date - the users entry has some issues - they report the delivery of the packet 4 on june 28th so in the 5/18 "case closed" date is suspect...

BTW: They have been giving the "Friday Friday Friday!" speech all week until yesterday when it switched to next Monday.

Due to the limited capacity of space in Kingston, we were unable to schedule you for October. Furthermore, we just finished with scheduling for October and all the dates are now fully booked for that month.

Thank you NVC. I will continue to wait patiently for my November interview.

Me too. My case completed on Sept 2, looks like we'll have to wait for November.

Dont want to dissapoint you ...but looks like Nov is done for Mumbai consulate as Aug 27 case complete got Nov 28 date....
