NVC did send packets to Stockholm the day we CC'd (Sep 6) and even the next day.

VENT:

This month is bothering me:

(UK neglected to send us the marriage cert. for 5 weeks) +

(USCIS neglected to forward approved I-130's for 1 month) +

(NVC neglected to record the military doc added 3 weeks) == completely missed August/Sept timeframe. (sigh)

I suppose this all conditions me to be skeptical & skittish re: embassy stage.

Your at the final stage M. Now's the time to let the anxiety drop out until the interview date. :)

None of this is in our hands (petitioner) it's all up to our spouse now!

More details: I knew it was closed before it was in the NVC computer since I saw it on the DHL website the day the packet was shipped, and then less than 24 hours later it was delivered to the consul

None of this is in our hands (petitioner) it's all up to our spouse now!

Excepting for the sending the required documents, nothing really is in out hands. But at each stage, we get anxious to a certain degree and then when the wait is longer than expected, we get more anxious (can't help it - it is better said than done). I understand M's frustation - hope we all (those who are still waiting) get our interview dates soon.

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

Sure it is. Where the beneficiary is gathering some documents needed we are the main ballplayer for the first 2/3rd's of the process. Making sure the documentation is correct to not obtain a delay is a HUGE responsibility. We can directly see in cases of our friends on here how important it is and how much delay can result from the intital review of the specifc paperwork.

It might seem light to you but we start the process and follow it until the end until the beneficiary's role comes into play and we still prepare them for that.

Case Closing Date: August 30th, 2011
