Navyk,

I did call NVC a few minutes ago and still getting the same answer. They said they started scheduling from today and we will hear by end of next week if we made into October. I am not really convinced with their answer. Any luck from your end?

Didn't call - really not expecting anything so early in the day. Did they say end of this week or end of next week?

One more thing I learnt so far when commmunicating with NVC is, each operator gives you different answer. That really gets confusing for the folks who is calling to NVC frequently. For instance, one operator says they schedule interviews throught the months and another one says 2nd week of each month. The last rep whom I spoke on Friday said by end of this week. Again this morning one of the rep said by end of next week.

Folks, any suggetions/comments?

It is universal conclusion that each operator tells differently from each other - sometime even the same operator tells differently in a given day.

I think the interviews are scheduled differently even among consulates in one country - a lot depends on how busy a consulate is. As far as Chennai, I think they close the next month schedules (few get scheduled) in the second week of the month. Then again they start scheduling (large cases) between the third and fourth weeks when they get tentative opening of the month following next.

Nothing surprises me anymore with this process but last month the majority of "A" lists for interviews were done before August 19th... If not then a lot of us with CC before the 26th would have been scheduled.. This should be the week. I'm back to calling twice a day hoping to get possibly get enough notice to not pay airline and hotel rates that are just stupid crazy (already most of the 223 one way fares I have been watching are up to 343 - a few left at 223).

I did a little checking on DHL today & compared results with the 2nd Monday of the month from August.

Packets were not sent to ANY embassies today that I could find.

Look for more movement during the next 7-10 days. Maybe massive packets tomorrow or next Monday.

fyi: many of us are CC with no SIF. Maybe the SIF script trigger is broken and that DBA is on vacation. (LOL - it is all shade of ridiculous at this point)

My case is completed at NVC. I'm now waiting on getting the interview date assigned for New Delhi consulate. I was told that they schedule interviews in the second week of every month for the following month. They said I still have chance to make it to next month for Delhi if it is still available. They said call us by middle of next week if you don't hear from us. Anyone for New Delhi consulate with Nov. date on this thread?
