Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

Dev, is there a way to get these details somewhere else - the one run in VJ do not have much details.

"Just looking at the NVC complete dates and interviews assigned thus far for India it seems like October has been booked a while ago."

A lot of it is just remembering dates from threads. A lot of people came out of nowhere and posted their interview dates and vanished.

Old statistics aren't going to work - I tried different parameters with not much of success. If we look at your case, the wait is 79 days for interview. However Chennai doesn't seem to have that many candidates as Mumbai and hence I am hoping that 60 - 70 days for Chennai may be alright (I could be wrong because there might be more Chennai bound guys not in VJ), so a late 30sth October to 10th November looks like a possibility. As per NVC, we will get to know only next week - we can see how close or far I am in my guess.

By the way, did you notice that few of the guys that filed I-130 in May and June already got approvals - NVC process is bound to increase a lot.

I agree. The process right now is kind of out of the regular norm compared to the past.

Yes, May and June approvals are getting cranked out now. If someone figures out the timelines for certain...they should be awarded a Ph.d. LOL

Have faith. If you don't hear anything today, tomorrow or by Tuesday of next week. It's time to start panicing (At least I would.).

With one panic (thinking that my AOS packet was lost), I killed myself (from a possible 10/15th interview) to what I am now. I will be patient this time - as per operator I will certainly get an interview date on or before 9/16.

well no one knows anything. you can be told many things and none of it is true! expect the unexpected. All i know that is for Peru, according to the woman today, they will start making the Oct schedule by tomorrow or early or late next week... not sure what else that means.. or how she even knows that!! I'm sure Peru is busy too!

I got a good guy to talk to. He was telling that October would be closed and commuication would be sent out next week. I told him that some guys got Chennai interviews for Novermber and asked him to give me the factual position. He said that those who got November interviews are done but a few of the us still waiting for interviews have a chance of getting October date, as Chennai always comes up with late openings in the first week of the month.

It looks like a few of the lucky ones will get into October and the rest will get into Novermber.

Navyk, did you start any new thread somewhere in this site? Looks like I don't see any any new postings in regards to interview date e.t.c. I will call NVC again in the evening to find out the status. I am still optimistic though!

i know it can be very frustrating to wait. I used to check my e-mail every hour in hope for an interview letter. And i really thought i'd get a sept date coz my cc on 5th aug. But the day i found out by speaking to nvc that i didn't make it in sept, i was heartbroken and i decided to just leave it at that and i stopped checking my mail. and just 2 days later i got a date for oct 18. So guys just relax. I know its hard to let go of it, but nothing we do can change how the NVC operates..... Good Luck, NavyK, finger still crossed....
