I hope everyone gets their interview dates this week. Do you think they are based mostly on embassy ??

I see 2 month wait for some and one month for others. 1.5 would work great for us

Differs by embassy.. Taking a peek at Peru it looks like they have not started setting October interviews yet.. Your case completed 9/6 so you should know in the next week or so if you have an October date.

Yes, after NVC complete it really depends on your embassy to get an interview date. Based on other visa interviews that month, amount of staff and holidays. All embassies are different depending on the amount of traffic that goes through them.

Nothing much at the moment. I am studying for my final exams next week.

My wife is scheduling her medical and going to get her passport PCC stuff done really soon (in the next week or two).

How early can we submit documents to VFS? Cause we might submit them almost 1.5 months in advanced if we are allowed to.

I just called again NVC to find out about my interview scheduling. Still no updates. It is a bit disappointing to wait longer than expected but things are not in my control though. Hopefully I can hear from them by tomorrow as the latest.

I called and the wait time is more than 5 minutes at both NVC and DOS and hence hung up to call later.

Navyk, I did call both DOS and NVC this morning and same old story. Hope to hear something atleast by tomorrow as the latest. I will keep you posted though because I do check atleast twice a day with NVC.

Hope to get to know on Friday (the operator said that they will close October by Friday and will start communicating the following week). That is why I was wondering how your friend got a Noverber interview date - of course we can never depend on the operator.

To be quite honest, if you guys get an October date I will be quite shocked.

Just looking at the NVC complete dates and interviews assigned thus far for India it seems like October has been booked a while ago.

I really hope I am proven wrong, but from what I am seeing and looking at you guys looking for November to early December.

I also think that calling DOS daily is not going to get your any more info than what your going to get at NVC.

DHS-> DOS-> NVC.

I got my info from DOS the same day I was going to get it from NVC. The computers were down at NVC and I called DOS to see if they hate it in their system...the operator said the interview was assigned by NVC that same day. I got the interview e-mail the same day in the evening.

If it were me, I would call NVC and stick to that.

For those you that have an interview date did you get an updated AVR that says "Your case is completed and forwarded to the embassy or consulate in XXX on MM/DD/YYYY."

My AVR still states that my case has been competed on 8/23 and allow 6-8 weeks for additional information, I got my interview date and e-mail confirmation last Friday.

Dev, is there a way to get these details somewhere else - the one run in VJ do not have much details.

I hope so too. The one interview listed in the system here is a NVC Complete with an 8/23 date and Interview date of 10/27. This is where I am basing my inference from.

Both Indian and American holidays these next few months really make the window really small compared to other months.

NVC informed that cases looking to close or closed before Sept 16 which is the second week of September are more likely to get an October interview date.

After that 2nd week or Sept 16 is looking for a November interview.

i'm still hopeful.
