Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

Hi Navyk,

My case is closed just a day before your case got closed. I am still waiting to hear from the NVC about interview date. I did speak with a nice operator this morning and she said we will definetly hear something before the end of Friday or Monday as the latest. Looks like we are going to fit into 1st 2 weeks of November schedule.

02/20/2011 - Married

03/14/2011 - I-130 sent

03/15/2011 - I-130 received

03/18/2011 - NOA1

06/16/2011 - NOA2

07/17/2011 - NVC received

08/06/2011 - Received DS-3032 and I-864 bill

08/06/2011 - Emailed DS-3032 and paid I-864 bill

08/10/2011 - I-864 sent to NVC

08/15/2011 - DS-3032 accepted and IV bill received

08/15/2011 - Paid IV bill

08/18/2011 - DS-230 sent to NVC

08/19/2011 - DS-230 received at NVC

08/24/2011 - SIF & Case Complete

08/26/2011- RFE on missing PCC and Case re-opened

08/27/2011- Wife Sent PCC from India(In fact she did get PCC on end of 27th from passport office in India and she mailed PCC following day upon getting RFE from NVC. Otherwise we thought of submitting during interview)

08/30/2011 - Case Closed(Thank God)

We have things in common - both Chennai bound, our cases were closed at the end of August, we both had case completed twice - closed cases were opened in both cases and most likely to have same interview dates.

Hi Navywk,

Everyday I am checking atleast 2 times(mid morning and after 9PM) with NVC operators about interview date. As soon as I hear something, I will post it on the board. So that way it will be helpful for others in the board as well who is eagerly waiting to hear interview dates with Chennai Embassy in the month of November. It is due to bizzare process at NVC(case re-opened for no reason) that my case got a second closing date on 08/30.

I dont understand why is NVC taking so much time to assign Interview dates to you guys. I think I got lucky. I pray for you guys (specially NavyK who has been very helpful to me) to get your interviews scheduled soon All the best

Thanks Way2Go for your good wishes. My first 8/15 CC got messed up (NVC's wierd process of my email) else I too would have had a date in October. Now we are still hoping for some slots in October (I hope Chennai is not that busy as Mumbai) else we will be content with an early November date.

I have a feeling that we may have a chance of sneaking into the ** end of October, which gets closed by week two. Let's hope to get some news by Friday.

NO AVR update, no SIF...

She said no interviews available in Sept.... so I'm hoping for late October!!!!! ))

Just called and same old news - "September filled up, October list for Chennai will be finalized and closed by next week - watch for the email - you are free to call anytime".

I heard through one of my friends that we can call Department Of State to find out if there is an interview scheduled? It seems that DOS updates faster than NVC when it comes to interview scheduling.

Today's waiting has been too much - looks like everyone was calling after the long week-end. DOS is generally more busy - I will try tomorrow.

As part of daily routine call, I just spoke with NVC operator. Still no luck, however scheduling will start from Monday, August 12th. They said we still have slight chance in October but not guaranteed and regardless we should fit into 1st 2 weeks of November.

A date certainly would be nice.. Some airlines are having sales if booked by this Thursday.. Vegas has put all of the blue man group shows on at half price for October and I was hoping to stop and see it on the way back but I imagine the good seats are pretty much already gone now..

I was kinda hoping not to pay the worst possible price for everything there and back but that seems to be what is going to happen..

I also think that every day delayed now pushes me back.. I was near the "front" of the line but there are only a few IR-1 /CR-1 visas done per day at the embassy and no doubt everyday somebody sweet talks their way to the front of the line with NVC and pushes me back just a tad..

...and that is my daily whine-fest. I hope everyone is doing well

my case closed august 31st, 2011. they said september is booked already for US Embassy manila... just wait for october schedule. seems like all the us consulates all over the world are booked for september. goodluck to us
