Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

Is there anybody actually getting SIF??? Anyone that recently received an interview or very recently got a case closed getting SIF?

I can still log into my payment portal without any sort of trouble and my case has been completed since July 26th. I also received appointment letter and my file has already been transferred to the U.S Consulate in Mumbai.

With this new revelation, which is insignificant for you guys, I am wondering whether we should depend on SIF to check CC.

I wouldn't and I did not. I waited until I got confirmation from an operator to really seal the deal.

I had my regular evening talk with an NVC operator tonight.. No news as usual but it was the first time I was able to get them to not read the entire "unfortunately we were unable to schedule for September and cannot guarantee when your interview date will be scheduled, scheduling for October will occur in the second week of the month and you will be sent a notice the third week of the month or you can call back in a long long time"

Instead of waiting for anything official we have decided to assume the first week of October and are now working towards not having that be a big rush.. so this week: New wedding certificate (needed for her to pick up my DAS certificate in Medellin), Photos for the medical, the baptism records, and bugging the Dominican Republic consulate in Bogota because the embassy wants a "fresh" certificate of good conduct even though the other is less than a year old and she has not been to the country since..

Yadda yadda yadda - I hope everyone gets good news soon.

They will have to let you know at the end of September first week, which they were singing to all us back in mid-August. All the very best.

I am hoping for them to pick up my I-864 in this week, so that I may have some chance for October - some relief to self-inflicted injury.

Just called and talked to operator Max...really cool.

He said to just hang on a bit...Mumbai to his understanding is a really busy consulate.

He said try back at the end of the week if not you should get it early next week after labor day. You have really good chances for October, he wouldn't doubt that.

Well I'm out for the night...It's been a long day. Tomorrow is another day!

No one has any news to give except me - I just received a duplicate RFE for the same one (looks like an automated one generated every week - not sure) - called NVC and was asked to ignore this one. hoping for someone to process my I-864 by Friday.

I checked yesterday night but it wasn't. And I just checked AVR on hearing from you and the message states that my case was completed on 8/31. I will call an operator a little later. Hopefully we have a chance to get into ** end of October.

I am thinking that the second RFE probably might have been generated as the case was opened for process yesterday morning. It happened before on 8/12 (second RFE), which caused me to send the ill-fated email and the case then was completed on 8/15.

Talked to an operator and got confirmation (no SIF - I have access) and was told that NVC will finalize the October interview in the first week of September and will inform in the second week.

So for the first week in September they finalize...so that's this week and we should know by next week am I correct?
