i havent recieved an RFE again for the PCC and after you mentioned i also tried to loginto the system i am able to .I used to get SIF earlier.but same is the case with my daugter she did not get an RFE for PCC as she dosent require one .

So looks to me it is that NVC is trying to do something maybe scheduling our interview ...just hoping

I think so too, I hear a couple of other people are able to sign in today as well, so i hope they are scheduling interviews for them.

I just tried and was able to sign in.. I have not tried logging in for about two weeks (which at that time was a SIF) so I don't know if it means anything... I've never heard of the sign-in becoming active again for setting up the interview but then I have not heard of the sign-in working again for any other reason.. Except for a retro RFE (such as NavyK experienced).

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

I am able to login as well...

Dave, i also received my second false RFE about the PCC. I called the NVC and told operator about that. Also, i can still sign into the payment portal and i am not getting SIF. But operator told me that your case is completed and not re-opened. I am going to call again in the evening as the operator i spoke with was very f'ing rude.

I might have had the same operator. Mine was repeatedly cutting me off mid-sentence.

Really who cares if you can log in to the payment portal? They've already told you the case was closed. Some of us have even got our emails saying we have interviews or have been at least told we have interviews. There's no reason to log into the payment portal once the case is closed it probably just resets. It's just one more thing to worry about lol

Just called and was told that September is full for Chennai consulate too (she said that the interview slots provided by Chennai for September have all been filled on basis of the case completion dates - at least here they are following FIFO) and will have to wait till September 2nd week for the October Interview dates. Most of us are all in the same boat - let's hope for early October Interview dates.

Looks like Dave is right. The August 1st Case completed guy got September 29 with Chennai Consulate.

Its strange if FIFO is followed or on how the process is handled, i got a case complete on July 18 but NVC scheduled me for Sept 29, so not sure if they follow the FIFO how would the August 1st case complete guy will get the same date as mine i.e Sept 29? how can that happen? so a minimum of two months wait time appears common now with the exception of few lucky guys like these who get their case completed later but get a earlier date. totally lost now on how the process works at NVC.

Actually mine is almost 71 days wait time to just get to the interview whereas some people are getting their I130's approved in that time. It was quite weird when I found that the interview date was so late. Not sure anyone else from India can beat this wait time to get a interview date after case completion at NVC.
