Got an interview date of 20th October.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am very happy to be in the final stages and happy to have a date. But I feel kinda down about this news, was hoping for earlier.

Oh well.

More details: I knew it was closed before it was in the NVC computer since I saw it on the DHL website the day the packet was shipped, and then less than 24 hours later it was delivered to the consul

They said that the one processed later wipes out the previous process. I argued stating that email sending of the AOS is not allowed and how they processed it. The supervisor said that she can do nothing as it will have to sent to the highier ups.

Yes, I messed up totally with my overenthusiasm and am paying the price.

Any news of your interview, as I saw that one of the UK guy got Oct 13th.

That is harsh. I am sorry to hear it. You are right, email correspondence is not allowed for Indian applicants. I wonder why they considered it at the first place. We need to mail-in all the documents. Anyway, I am sure they will wrap it up quickly. :)

I saw an Oct interview date for mumbai. :D

I have a very bad news to share - I messed up totally and am having to send I-864 again - going to USPS Office.:bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

We had sent AOS on 8/3 and since we didn't get any response till 8/13, we send out an email with a copy of the AOS packet. By 8/15 the original AOS was processed and the case was closed on 8/15.

But our inquiry email was processed on 8/16 and they issued a RFE now asking us to send signed I-864 again. I tried to plead with a supervisor but she gave two option - i) she can put up to her highier authority to ignore the email but it will take time (20 business days) and then if they decide that I should send it, then it gets further delayed (20 business days) or ii) I submit I-864 quickly and it will get processed quickly (20 Business days).

The lesson I learned and I want other to be aware is never resend your documents in email.

That is Pathetic news :( , I hope they process the new I-864 quickly and you get an October interview

congratulations!!! Now you also got the interview date thats awesome....my case was also completed on 8/23 so i am about to call and ask them if they have setup interview date...

I saw it as well. 8/9/11 NVC complete date. Kinda makes me nervous as I got case complete on the 24th of this month. I hope I can squeak in.

Nothing yet...got the general 2nd week of Sept. prompt.

They should be rolling these out pretty soon. I remember last months candidates got their e-mails all on the same day.

Seems like they have a huge e-mail dump for embassies once they fill in all the spots.

These next 2 months are bad as all consulates in India have 4 holidays on business days (2 American and 2 Indian).

If Chennai is the same as Mumbai...you have the same completion date. I should know by the end of the day today or tomorrow or when they have the e-mail dump mid-afternoon over the weekend.

NavyK please call NVC...see if you still got allotted a interview spot. I am curious.

I should be back in the other thread (Waiting for CC) - disqualified myself to be here :huh: . Hope fully you should be disqualified to be in this - I mean positively to the next thread (Interview Bound) :thumbs: .

The I-864 guaranteed to be delivered tomorrow by noon by USPS. I will try calling day after try to catch a supervisor for help.
