Case Complete to Interview Date Communication

I would to know the time it took for you guys to get Interview email after your case is completed at NVC. Thanks for your contributions.

It took one week for us case complete July 22 got an email with interview date on August 1st. Good luck

More details:

I knew it was closed before it was in the NVC computer since I saw it on the DHL website the day the packet was shipped, and then less than 24 hours later it was delivered to the consulate, and when I was talking to the NVC rep, she said she had nothing in her computer, but while we were talking, it showed up as shipped, case closed, and interview already scheduled, and she said an email would be on its way the same day--she was correct.

Case completed on July 26th and received email on August 2nd for an interview scheduled for September 9th.

As per AVR case got transferred to Mumbai on August 12th.

My CC on August 9th, 2011, I called NVC today and I was told we didn't get in the September slots for Mumbai consulate. I was so excited this whole week, hoping we did, but due to Mumbai's immigration rush, they weren't able to.

Anyway, NVC also said they schedule during the whole month regularly for MUMBAI, not specially in the mid month so you can call once a week or wait for an email from NVC to find out your interview date. Good luck to all of you waiting like me.

So I called today for my case to see if any progress was made and the operator told me September had been closed as of today and that I'd have to wait to check back the 2nd week of sept. to see if October is a possibility. Do you know if they do continuous scheduling as I noticed sometimes people receive their dates after this "2nd week" Thanks

I was told the same thing when I called back this afternoon "You juuuust missed a September - call back in a month and see if you get October!". I'm not totally convinced as in the morning they said they would try to squeeze it in to September and I can see a package left for Bogota from the NVC about 3 hours after my case closed so I have those straws to grasp at for the next few days anyway.

I really don't mind October - But how about early October? - what I really want is a date - just gimme a date!

My Case has been closed for a whole few hours and I'm already complaining about then next step

I was told the same by NVC, we didn't get in the Sept slots for Mumbai consulate. The operator also said they do continous scheduling so you can once a week to find out for Oct scheduling until you hear(email) from NVC regarding your interview. Hope this helps.

OnMyWayID- congrats on the completion. I called in the AM and at night because I was told the same yesterday that they were still working on sept until the end of the week.

sizzle- do you know if this is for every consulate the continuous scheduling? The operator told me to call back next month....around the second week.

p.s. i don't mind beginning of october as well i just want to know because a month ago i purchased a flight in two weeks to see my husband for vacation and flight prices keep going up and up....
