Tomorrow is my wife's interview and they called her today saying they didn't have the marriage certificate.. They said they needed that and translation.. I sent all this to NVC ... I would not have been approved without it..

The good thing is they called ahead of time and she was able to get the certificate and translation done..

They told her they had all other required documents..

I hope they didn't lose the skype log, receipts, emails and other proof it relationship..

She had a stressful day

I told her in a way this was a good sign

They at least let her know before interview...........

I don't understand how they lose items..

I have read of these forums that this does happen. At least they called her ahead of time..

I am keeping my fingers crossed..

I have only copies at home

But... they said they had everything else so all should be good.. I guess tomorrow they just ask her questions..

I just can't get it. NVC is playing with people's lives sometimes loosing items and such.

One thing you must ensure is to write the case # on the top right hand corner of EVERY SINGLE piece of documents so that if something does become lose, they know whose it belong.

I received an error also from them cause they spelt my son's name incorrectly. I told them I already sent off Birth certificates and such to them before. Now they want me to make copies of passport and send for them to process change. I am frustrated with them sometimes.

It's certainly not stress free, but think about the millions and millions of pieces of paper they handle, and it's not too surprising that one goes missing now and again. In the long run it will be mostly electronic, but for now, all we can do is hope that it's not one of our papers that disappears !!

Case # was written on everything

I think this was NVC who lost it
