NOA1 not received...

Hi !! On August 5th we sent out our I-129F package. And we have yet to receive our NOA1 txt. I asked my fiance if where he sent it to. and he told me it was at the (non express mail) address. and then told me he sent it via normal mail. the next day he went to the post office and asked if his package had been sent out and they told him he sent it out VIP mail so they should of received it the next day. So my question is, if he sent it VIP mail but not to the express post office, where will the package end up? will they foward it to the express lock box? or will they send it back to my fiance, so he can send it out to the right address? or is our package lost ?? no tracking number :( .... what should we do? just wait it out some more? or is there a number i can call to see if they have it? since we didnt get the NOA1 i cant log onto USCIS site to check the status..... hoping it's not lost somewhere !!

you still have time they are running a little behind so it is possible you still may get the NOA1 did tou all sign up to get txt and email?

Yes we did send in the form to get a txt or email when received or approved. Ah, i didnt know they were running behind. Thats good to know :) Thank you. As soon as i talk to my fiance, ill ask him to check to see if the check has been cashed. Wouldnt hurt to check right :)

Half the time they don't use that form and don't contact you. So you should be aware of that.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

As Inky noted, I attached that form but didn't receive any text or e-mail notifications, so it's not a guarantee.

ah ok. im just a little worried because everyone gets their NOA1 a few days after submiting the forms. im going on day 12 of waiting now, and nothing yet. the check hasnt even been cashed yet. so i dont know what to think anymore. im scared it's lost somewhere !! :P i would just love a little sign that they have it, so i can relax and just wait for the NOA2 ... :)

just to clarify, my question was... is it possible that sending it VIP to the normal Dallas address and not the express mail on... would that hurt our file... meaning... can it get lost or not accepted as mail because its not in the right spot. or will they still accept it?? or what will happen to my package if it's not at the right spot? forwarded to the right dallas mail address or sent back or will it just sit there and we'll have to file another one... That's what i want to know. :)

...Waiting for NOA2 is a pain. :lol: Everything goes faster after you get NOA2. Use the next few months to do some research and get your stuff in order. Make sure you have a long-form birth certificate, get your vaccinations updated, get translations for any original documents that aren't in English, maybe find out how to get a police check in your area and how long it takes (but don't get it until you receive PKt3). :yes:

thank you! I was already planning on getting my stuff in order :) and get my fiance to start thinking about his "support" forms and all the things he will need with it :)

and now we wait again :)

support forms are not needed and should not be done until the NOA2 and thats atleast 4-5 months down the road.

yeah i know. wasnt planning on doing those till the NOA2 comes in. Im just getting organized for when we do get it, i'll know exactly what to do then. Cant be too organized with this proccess :) But thank you for your reply!!
