This is the wrong focus IMO. The focus should be on having fewer military engagements around the world, needing a smaller military as a result, thereby having to pay out fewer pensions.

It's hard to do realtime when you are bouncing off a satellite. Even at 186,000 miles per second, the delay can be noticeable. Now if you give them a certain degree of autonomy, then the delay may not be that significant. Think of Mars Rover, as the example of that technology.
