Hi everyone!

Just a newbie here in Visa Journey. Find it interesting coz I can access information we needed with our K1 Visa application.

My fiancé filed a K1 petition and I am currently residing in United Arab Emirates . It has been recently approved last August 4.

Though, we know the next step by step process but still not enough to answers all our questions. Basically, the process differs from one way to another.

1) When would be the right time to follow up NVC/Department of State about the status of our case?

2) Now, we are waiting for the packet 3 and 4. We are confuse as to how they will send it to us. Some says through email, mailed to the petitioner or to the beneficiary. How long it will take for us to receive it? When it will come from, is it from NVC/Department of State or from US Embassy here in UAE?

3) What is inside the Packet 3 and 4? Is there any documents/forms needed to be sent back to them before the interview aside from the documents I need to bring for the interview?

4) Is it already the right time that my fiancé gather other documents such as affidavit of support and its supporting papers, I-129F File (copy), etc. to be send to me even we didn’t received further instruction from Packet 3 and 4 yet?

5) As to the medical examination, what would be the test to be done (x-ray, blood test, etc.?).

6) What are the vaccination required since I don’t have my vaccination record? Any suggested vaccination required? Can I get a shot before I do the medical examination or I need to wait for the medical examination as to what the doctor say?

There’s still lot more questions but this are all for now.

Thanks in advance. Have a nice day!

1. "Two weeks after you receive the NOA2 you can contact the NVC to see if they have received your approved I-129F. You can contact them at 603 334-0700." Check this link #5. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow You can even call to check after 1 week. I did, and they had my petition

2.,3. Check this link for packet 3/4. Look for the UAE consulate: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United Arab Emirates&cty=Abu Dhabi

It is mailed from the embassy. It should come to the beneficiary but I have seen UAE cases where it goes to the petitioner. It is from the embassy.

4. Your fiancé can start gathering forms now to send to you. Check this link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide Look under the section called "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2)"

5., 6. Packet 3 will contain a list of Drs you can see or check here again: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United Arab Emirates&cty=Abu Dhabi Once you contact the NVC in about 1-2 weeks they will give you a case number. Use that case number for the Medical. Tell them your receiving a medical exam for a visa. They will know what tests to do, and what vaccinations to give.

I really hope I could help. Let me know if you need any more info.

:)
