Hi everyone! i'm just using my father's visajourney account,

I already emailed my DS 3032, my mom already paid the affidavit of support fee today via online, what are going to do next?

My mom also filed a separate petition for my dad, it was also approved. we emailed NVC asking for his Case Number, it's been 4 days and we got no response yet, what should we do?

Call them about the seperate petition to see if your case # or IIN has bene generated.

Once they receive all the docs for the first case, then you need to wait till its process and wait for further instructions. I would advise to call them to see what is the status on both. Like way2go said, send the AOS docs too.

AOS fee was paid, so they have the NVC Case Number and Invoice Identification Number.

Go to the same website (https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx) and once the status of the AOS payment has chenged to "PAID", you will be able to print out the Cover sheet with bar code. This one page cover sheet is required to send the AOS packet (I-864 with other required documents).

Use this link to download I-864 form and the I-864 guidelines. The guidelines will give you idea on whether you will have to file I-864 or simple I864EZ (in case you are using just your wages) ro whether you need a co-sponsor.

NVC said that they currently received my dad's case, we would have to wait for like 6-8 weeks for further instructions. will it really take a month before they give my father's NVC case?

NVC always want to be safe and gives a big timeframe but generally those are processed pretty reasonably. So don't bother about the 6-8 weeks .....

I gave you the link to the I-864, which gives all the details. However, you will need:

  1. AOS Cover sheet with bar code (you can print this after paying the fee and once the status is changed to PAID.
  2. I-864 or I-864EZ (if you are using just your wages)
  3. 2010, 2009 & 2008 IRS Tax Transcripts or copies of the full tax return filed (2009 & 2008 are optional)
  4. Latest pay stubs - I beleive latest 4 - 8 are good enough.
  5. Employment letter (optional)
  6. Explanation letter, if any (optional)
  7. Bank statement, if you are using any cash balances from bank to support, in case your wages are not sufficient

So it depends on how you want to provide the support and how many people are in your family and how many you are now sponsoring, your wages, ......

I can answer specific question, if you provide those details else you can figure it out.
