My POE is Thursday and I have already begun stressing. I have read a lot about the i-94 form but I do not really understand what it is..so...this may be a silly question but what does it look like (are there any examples of it online) and where do I get it? (do I get it in the plane?) and is it the same thing as the blue customs form you fill out before landing in US?

OH and what do I do with it?

Also, just to be on the safe side...can anyone list just what I need to prepare (documents wise) for the POE other than the brown sealed envelope, passport with visa and what do I need to make sure I walk out with?

Thank YOU!!!

I think they have examples at this site.

It is a very simple white postcard type form which is available where you enter the POE. At JFK there are tables around the entry area with the forms. Filling it out is pretty self explanatory. If you enter at a large airport there will be officers around that can help you and at some places, like JFK it is not unusual that at 1 or 2 speak Russian.

You fill out the card and take it with you to "passport control" and present it with your passport and sealed envelope. They will stamp it and give it back to you. Keep it with your passport. Your visa is CANCELLED upon entry and the I-94 is your authorization to be in the USA.

Get married BEFORE the expiration date on the I-94

i-94 is the arrival/departure form...if i remember correctly, u just put in ur name, flight, date, & some other simple customs information, etc...not 2 hard

nowadays, the airline (flight attendants) usually hand it out to every1 30min or so b4 ur gonna land (international flights) at poe or if not they should have it availible as soon as u get off

Every minute felt like an eternity time, clearly as if it had malicious intent, slowly ebbing away from me. I clenched my teeth, and keeping myself from crying was the only thing I could do…
