They do? Odd. Looking at the 112th Congress, there are 17 female Senators. 12 of them are Democrats (70%) and 5 of them are Republicans (30%). Over in the House, there are 77 female Representatives. 53 of them are Democrats (69%) and 24 are Republicans (31%). Loking at the list of Speakers of the House, there has thus far only been one female Speaker - a Democrat. Your perception is clearly not in line with reality. Not that I haven't noticed this before.
