You can see my review of my husband's interview on July 29, 2011 under consulate reviews. The Mumbai consulate STILL has his passport and we are still waiting. It appears that a significant number of interviews end with a 221-G.

Your case is non-traditional and is more complex that what others are going thru.

India is known to not like non-traditional marriages. It does happen, but it does not go as easily as the traditional marriages that are more prevalent in India.

Your case is a outlier in the statistics.

Ok Guys, NVC journey ends here today.. :thumbs:

I m in line now for Sep interview... But according to operator, For New Delhi consulate, Sep Interview would be hard to schedule as they almost booked for Sep, but she also said that their is little hope for Sep end.. Let's see how it's gonna go...

Spouse's Journey (F2A) - USCIS
02/22/2011 - Filed I-130 as F2A
02/28/2011 - Notice of Action 1 (NOA1)
06/16/2011 - Notice of Action 2 (NOA2)

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.
08/02/2011 - DS-3032 received by NVC.
08/03/2011 - IV Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
08/04/2011 - IV Fee Bill invoice shows "PAID" and DS-230 package mailed to NVC.
08/16/2011 - SIF & Case Completed

08/29/2011 - Interview Email.
New Delhi Consulate:
10/06/2011 - Medical Done.
10/17/2011 - Interview Date and Visa Approved !
10/20/2011 - Passport with Visa picked up from local VFS office.
12/16/2011 - P.O.E.
01/19/2012 - Receive Green card in mail

2013-11-13 - Apply for Removal of Conditions.

2013-11-23 - NOA Date

2014-03-27 - Approval.

2014-04-01 - Green Card received.

I was hoping to get a September interview but your schedule kind of raising a question - Case completed in first week and still at the ** end of September. I ran timeline reports and found the previous Chennai interview to be August 28. Can't understand - will check the Chennai consulate August listing to get an idea on how busy Chennai is in comparison to Mumbai.

Now that September dates are gone, we (case completed) are all waiting for October interview dates - keep posting as and when you get your interview dates and any tips for all us. Thanks.

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Hope you may get early October interview date. However, just to inform you all that I scheduled my medical in Apollo hospital today over telephone. It is on 23rd Sept. Now I have to decide where to pay the VFS courier fees. As I stay in Bangalore and there is a VFS office in Bangalore, so I have plans to pay the courier fees here in Bangalore...
