Hi all,

Fiancé interview is Wednesday and we have to pay the Visa fee, how should we do this?

Can she pay the $350.00 in Ghana Cedis, or would it be better to pay in U.S. dollars. If she pays it U.S. dollars will Weston union give her the equivalent amount in U.S. dollar form when she goes in to pick up the money, or will she have to add to it? Would it be a better idea to go to Eco-Bank and pay the visa fee and just hand in the receipt on the day of her interview? How confusing does all this sound, I’m trying to keep it simple.

Thanks

Happy to help.Ghana cedis and US dollars are 2 different currencies so therefore, your problem is half way solved. The last time I checked, One will not be able to pick up dollars sent to Ghana via Western union in dollars it will be paid out in Ghana cedis because Ghana Government doesnt allow this.If it were to be in Nigeria that will be a different thing all together cos they pay out in US dollars.U may have to send more than 350 US dollars in order to get the equivalence in Ghana cedis since Ghana cedis has a lesser value.Unfortunately, u may have to pay something around 539 @1.54 to 1Usdollar Ghana cedis or a little less.Hope it helps. All the best
