Here is the story,it's a little complicated.

I regularly live in NY and that is the address I filed with all my paper work. However, I'm currently in FL right now and will get back to NY in 15 days. The letter of notice from USCIS got to my NY address on Aug 2 and the Appt time is Aug 9. Since I had mail forwarding so I got my letter in FL on Aug 12. Maybe it arrived a little earlier but I didn't see it. So now I missed my appt and I want to get another one. I read some other people's posts and they were recommended to do a walk-in at the Biometircs office. But for me the problems is I'm not in NY now and there is no way for me to do a walkin unless I do it in FL which is not the office listed on my letter. I know it's complicated. But what should I do? I'm really frustrated. If you know the answer, please HELP. Thank you very much!!

Go try a walk in at FL office before they deny your application for not showing up. Explain to them what happened and why you need to do it at the FL office. Hopefully they let you.

I beleive you could do a walk-in in NY, but not in FL.

Thank you for your reply. How much time do I have before they deny my application? Thank you!

When you get the letter for the 121th appointment all you need to do is write to them and request another appointment as you are out of town and that info is on the form. Send it off requesting another time for bio NOW. If you donlt hear back from them then when you get back to NY you can try a walk in as I requested a new appointment for mine too as I was out of town in FL and I never heard back from them so did a walk in and had no issues at all.

So now I missed my appt and I want to get another one.

At the bottom of my wife's biometrics letter, it says

If you have any questions regarding this notice, please call 1-800-375-5283.

Before you start trying to figure out if you can walk into a center in Florida or work yourself up, why not call NCSC? Explain the situation and ask them what you can do. If they tell you to do a walk-in in either Florida or New York, then you'll know.

Care,

Bill

Call the number on the biometrics letter and explain your situation. Ask them for an appointment AFTER your expected return date. As you're already several days after the missed appointment, you may need to call USCIS directly if the file has been returned as a no show.
